Stalled labour anyone?

I am new here - just discovered this place!

I am 41 weeks today and I was having contractions since yesterday evening - regular enough, not super strong - had a good night's sleep - but they have since petered out this afternoon...instead I feel like I have my period - I just feel crampy all the time and tired - and I have been passing my mucous plug (yes, TMI) for the past week (how big is that plug??). The midwife says all is normal, but it is just so frustrating!

Has anyone else been through this?

My story is very similar! I'm also 41 weeks today and last Thursday had what I thought were labor contractions every 4 minutes for hours, only to fizzle out in the middle of the night...it's so frustrating! Hang in there, I'm right there with you!

What are your plans if you go past 42 wks? My OB wants me to schedule a c/s (I'm planning a VBAC) if nothing happens before then. So I am really hoping for some action SOON!

I will be consulting with an OB next week - so far, baby is happy and healthy - we are hoping for a home birth, so, if baby keeps happy and healthy, then we might put off inducing for a while.

A c/s is pretty serious! I hope you get some action soon!

Yep, my labor started on Tuesday Nov 28th and I didn't deliver until Dec 2nd. I had my OB strip my membranes on the 1st to get things going in a real pattern.

i have been having contractions for a week and a half now and lost my mucus plug over a week ago. i was so excited last week, but now i realize things may not really happen for a while now. i am 39 weeks.
