Nkorho Pan is a natural water hole in the prestigious Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, in South Africa.

I found this link on another board and the kids and I have had fun checking it out! We have seen zebras, wildebeest, deer, birds, and today we saw a male and female lion!! Right now it's night time in S. Africa so it's dark but you can see see things now and then and listen in on the sounds. Apparently this is part of a Safari tour place so we did see a jeep as well not too long ago. They drove right by where the male lion was just eating something!

Enjoy,
Kellie

Holy Lion!!!

That is so cool. It looks like there are few lions sleeping on one camera and another shows them walking around.

This is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time.

Thanks for sharing!

This has been so much fun for us!! This morning we were just watching a group of wildebeest and one of there were 2 babies in the group that they focused on. One of the babies still had his umbilical cord hanging it looked like and the other one had a hurt back leg but still got around fine.

It's 3:30 there now so still a few hours of daylight to get to watch. Sometimes before we go to bed, the sun has come up there so we can check in on the morning action late at night.

Very cool! The place was swarming with wildebeasts when we just checked! I have a good friend who lives in South Africa, I'll have to send that to him, I wonder if he's seen it.

Wow! That is fantastic!!!!!!!!!! We're watching right now - the sounds alone are wonderful. Thanks for the great link.

Maybe try going to the home page of the website at www.wavelit.com and the clicking on the Africa cam. They have two available. The other one is of some bears but I haven't checked it out as I read that no one has even seen them yet given the time of year and what not.

The only other thought I have is if your connection speed is a problem for it?? I don't know. I hope you are able to get it working! Kellie

I got it to work by using another browser, but it is in black and white and nearly impossible to see. Is anyone else having this problem? We have DSL, so connection speed shouldn't be an issue.

At night it looks black & white, but during the [African] daytime there is color.

We have dial-up and can't see anything
I can hear the birds chirping, though. I sent the link to dh, and we're going to see if it works better on his (faster) computer at work.

these webcams are so great!! I have been sent links before... hmmm here there are all courtesy of National Geographic

Austrailia

Pete's Pond in Africa

Polar Bears in Canada

you NEED high speed internet and Real Player to make them work but its really worth it

Ok, I am still having issues with this. I looked at it again this morning and it's still dark and it's the EXACT SAME CLIP of the hyena that we saw twice yesterday.

What's going on?

Some of them have limited live hours and other times they show "highlights".
I noticed that with the polar bear one, which showed a polar bear eating in broad daylight. At 9PM MST, I don't think so.

I am having trouble getting it to work

Ok...got it. Just took a while to open.

I cannot tell what is in the water hole right now though It isn't moving often...

I think it is sleeping

Thank you so much for posting this web cam. The last two days we've seen wildebeest, zebra, monkeys, giraffe and several lions munching on a buffalo (and heard them too). I'm in California so in Africa it's 10 hours ahead of me so I've been checking it about 8 or 9 am here when it's 6 or 7 pm there and there is still good light and the animals seem to be more active then. Hope that helps. Thanks again - it's my new addiction - lol
