isn't very active right now. And do you know why? Because every mama but me has their new baby to care for now. O.K. enough with the self pity. But seriously, is anyone else still incubating? I'm 39w2d with a cervix that is still tight as a drum! I try to think of my due date, more as a shipping date. The package will be shipped no later than the 26th, but it could take two weeks or more to arrive. So anyone else still waiting patiently (or not)?

I think there are a LOT of us left....maybe we are all too crabby to post pleasant thoughts so we AREN"T posting. That's my guess anyway!

39w. today.
I can feel things changing, more pressure, more tenderness, twinges, etc... so I know things will be happening soon, but... SOON can mean tomorrow or 2 weeks from now. oh well.
Amazingly, I'm not tired of being PG either. I'd like to at least finish out the week at work so I can get paid for a full 40 hours. But, after that, we're all good.

40 weeks 1 day here. I like your "Plus shippingt" time line. I stopped answering the phone 2 weeks ago. I JUST want this baby OUT! Although now, I want the baby to hold off till after Monday. Long story, but our doula is off from Saturday till Tuesday (we have a back up) BUT.... I don't want to miss Christmas either

I'm 39 weeks... I want to meet my baby, but then I don't want to be in the hospital for Christmas--I want to see my boys open their gifts and enjoy the day with them, too! So I am torn.... I have an appointment this afternoon... So I guess I'll find out if anything has changed...

I just had my kitchen and bathroom cleaned and did a mega cleaning on all the bedrooms and livingroom, so I just hope baby is born before we mess up the house!

40w 4 days here...still very pregnant

Asked for a check today at my appt to give me some hope I'm 1 cm, 80% effaced, which is GREAT for me - I had zero progress with either of the others pre-labor - and baby is at 0 station, which sounds better than a negative So that was all good news to me.

The bad news? My primary care mw is off Friday night-Tuesday night, so if I have this baby on the weekend, I get someone else I can deal, but it would be nice if labor would start RIGHT now.

I'm still here, 42 weeks, plus change....: We had a biophysical profile yesterday and our baby got 8 out of 8 points, so that's fantastic news. And after 42 weeks of wondering if we are having a girl or boy, we got to find out!!!! The tech said I suppose this late you don't want to know, and I said well if we could find out, I wouldn't mind.

Now I'm dealing with possibly being risked out of my home birth, not because I'm 42 weeks, but because my b.p. has risen. So hopefully it can get down a little or at least not rise anymore.

Hang in there mamas. We had a name for a boy picked out as Justin(one of our choices), and we joked that if we had him on Dec. 31st we'd name him
Justin Thyme!! Sure hope we don't have to wait until the end of the month to meet our sweetie pie(though we found out we've got a girl, so there will be no Justin Thyme). Sara

I'm still here. It's my "due" date today. I had a midwife appt. this morning and asked if we should schedule another appt for next week - she said it probably looks that way. She doesn't think I will be going into labor anytime soon! I am happy being pregnant though. My only wish is that I have the baby before the new year.

I am still here at 39 weeks. Tired of waiting, tired in general, ready to pop. One of our friends just had their baby a few hours ago, but they aren't due untill the 6th of January. : I am happy for them, but I just want to be done and meet this little person. Part of me is fine with still being PG, and the other part wants to scream, not fair, not fair, not fair!

At least we are all still here, together.

Still here at 41 weeks. I am trying to be patient, it is everyone else's impatience that is driving me nuts!!!

My midwife is going to be out of town Friday PM through Tuesday PM, so it looks like I will also have to deliver with someone else. Turns out the OB she works with will also be out of town. There are two different OBs covering this weekend so my midwife is letting them know our birth wishes. She started tearing up the other day about missing our birth. Maybe I can hold out until she gets back!

Still here at 41w5d....*sigh* but I've been trying not to post too often since I'm the biggest grumpy witch right now and don't want to subject any innocents to my tirades of joint pain/READY TO BE OVERNESS!!!! ...seriously

: Thanks mamas. Now I don't feel so lonely, just grumpy still. It's not like, get out of me kid, I'm tired of being pregnant! It's more like, I'm so sore I can barely walk, my stomach hurts from having so many cx, I have to channel energy to get off the couch, but still nothing.... Today my DS told my belly, come out baby Alice, I'm ready to meet you. (Even though I don't think Alice is going to be her name : ) He predicts our baby will arrive the day after Christmas, so we'll see.

39w here. I wished for the baby before Christmas. Now I'm wondering if she will even come before the new year! My first two babes were 15 and 8 days early, respectively, so I feel late even though it's still a week until my due date.

Had an appt with the mw today and there is concern over my rising blood pressure. Another reason why I'd like to get things moving... I really don't want anything to interfere with my first home birth!

my appointment went well (it was one of the few appointments I've had without my 2 yo's company, so I could actually talk to my doctor without thinking of V sitting in the chair and behaving and chatting away)...

I'm a bit more dilated, now 3-4, and 80 percent effacted.... So come one baby, be born tomorrow night! then I could be home by Christmas eve evening (I'd probably miss Mass, though )

Hey, I forgot to add - I was really worried last week b/c baby seemed to be lagging size wise.
I was 36cm at my 39w5 day check - but one week later, I am 37.5 cm, which made me happy.
The u/s they did last week showed the baby was average size for a 36 weeker - but apparently the margin of error is 3 weeks, so I was just within that anyways.
MW says she doesn't think it's necessarily very small, just not the 8lbs I was hoping for She's thinking long and slender.
