First up, the wet wipes bag I made for in the diaper bag.
It's of flannel. The color's a bit off, it's kind of a combination of the colors you see in the pics.
I make wipe solution and then soak the wipes in it. When we go out I grab a bunch from the wipes warmer and stick em in the bag. They aren't soaking wet, so they don't drip, but they're damp and if I don't line it with PUL it'll wick through. I made it to fit about 25 wipes max. It's also pretty smooshable, so it won't take up a lot of room if there are only a few wipes in it. But it keeps a nice shape so that everything will fit well in the diaper bag.

Now for some diapers.
I guess these are technically covers, they don't have any soakers. I will likely use them with prefolds until (if?) I get soakers made. They are PUL on the inside with fashion fabric on the outside. Most of them have a layer of microfleece that goes against the baby's skin.
Top two have velcro closures, bottom left is side snapping, and an experiment with the serger that didn't go well. You can see a bit of the microfleece lining. Bottom right is front snapping.

Here I experimented with gussets a bit. The light blue one has a gusset with PUL and fashion fabric, and both 1/4" elastic and foldover elastic. That was a bit much, too thick, not stretchy enough. You can see the diapers (except the side snapper above) all have gussets - I highly prefer them for newborns, they really hold in that explosive newborn BF poop.

A couple of my favorites here. Tried to correct the color, but couldn't get it quite right. They're a bit lighter in person.

I think they turned out really cute.
Finally, some baby clothes. Both of these are commercial patterns, probably simplicity?
A bunting bag which I hand embroidered. It has mittens which have openings too.

Closeup of applique/embroidery. I just freehanded the applique as far as cutting it out.. you can still sorta see the green of the fabric pen I used to mark the placement of eyes and buttons, that's what that weird tint is, I haven't washed it since I made it.
I used an antiqued-silver-y color for the snowflake/star things.
I've never really embroidered anything before, this was my first go. I just kind of improvised.

Last, the pattern called it a bunting, but technically I guess it's not since it has legs. It's not a sleeper though, it's like a shaped blanket for in the carseat. I saw the prices of those carseat blanket cover thingies ($40!!!!!) and decided to make this on my own. It's real cute! Has a hood with elastic, and mittens that open.

You can't really tell in the pictures of the buntings because the buntings are a bit wrinkled, but the zippers went in SO NICELY, I have never had such good results with zippers before. I hate putting them in. So I was very pleased with myself.
So this is what I've been busy working on for this month. I have gotten a lot done. But I really need to get a couple dozen more diapers done. I dont' want to make any more using velcro though, I really need to get my mom to order me some touchtape.
What do you all think??
oh! I forgot to take a picture of the Boppy! It wasn't in the same room as the rest of these things. Darn. It will have to wait til another time. I can't wait to show it off, the fabric is GORGEOUS.

My DS was nameless right up until the day we legally *had to* give him a name. Drove DP's family a little inase I think
:
We didn't decide till the last day! We waited till we found a name that suited the little guy, and for that we really needed the time to get to know him a little more.
