toddler allergic to pb and now other things

My 2 yr old DS gets a rash of red bumps-some of them with a white pin point center all around his mouth when he eats anything peanut related. WE are in the military stationed in Germany so we dont have a pediatrician. I have not been able to have him seen. Question to other parents dealing with different severities of this that have seen a ped. Is is recommended to keep trying it every few months since the reaction is not severe? Also as of about 2 weeks ago he started to get this rash with every meal! Alomost every fruit he eats that's even slightly acidic gives him the rash and tomato sauce- but some times I can't identify what the cause could be. Any one else familiar with this and should I be really concerned?

Sounds like an allergy to me. At minimum, I think you should wait 6 months before re-introducing an allergenic food. The allergist will only test once a year here, so that seems to be the standard.

I hesitate to tell you to re-intro it yourself b/c allergies can get more severe over time and peanut allergies are some of the worst.

It may be helpful for you to do a food journal and document your son's symptoms. Is he nursing still? If so, keep in mind all the things you eat, he eats. You'll need to include yourself on the food journal then as well.
