I think I'm in love...

I stumbled upon this forum last week (googling 'filmjolk') and I am so completely enamored! I've been going at this traditional foods thing by myself, slowly working to convert the family (husband and two daughters)... not knowing anyone who would be even remotely interested in NOT conforming to the whole low-fat thing.... In spite of it, though, I've been pretty successful switching to raw milk and my husband, though he rolls his eyes, has come to accept all the variety of experiments that can be found brewing on the kitchen counter.

It's so nice to find you all and to read all these fabulous topics.

Would anyone be able to enlighten me about some of the abbreviations that show up here? It's been a while since I was involved with a forum type setting and so now I don't even know what 'PM' (as in pm me) means, or "I've been frosted."

I've figured out that
NT = Nourishing Traditions
WAP = Weston A. Price (right?)
TF = traditional foods....

any others I should know about?

Thanks so much.

This is awesome!

Yes I really like this forum too !!! It is so nice to have folks that you can ask questions and bounce ideas off of. So welcome to the TF forum. Eating is such an integral part of how we live, so it is nice to be in the company of those who view it similarly.

PM means private messages. Like if someone says pm me, it means to send them a private message/email.

The other abbreviations you all have correct .

Some others I can think of: co- coconut oil, clo- cod liver oil, evoo-extra virgin olive oil (I think there are others but I can't remeber now).

And I'll pm you about being frosted !!!

Welcome Estuary!
Make sure to check out the Abbreviations, Acronyms, and Emoticons sticky under Questions and Suggestions.
Feel free to ask any questions that pop up -- us NT-ers/traddies (still figuring out a name for ourselves) are a friendly bunch!!!

Welcome!

I got "frosted" twice because I was too slow to put it in my signature. It's a chain mail letter about Jack Frost. Who knew.
