OK I started on salt dough decorations for the kids to give to the grand parents. I was kneading in food coloring before rolling and cutting them out.
The problem is that when I went to get the last ones finished this morning it looks like my SN Dd has struck again and the food coloring is missing and no where to be found. I could ask her for the rest of the day where it is and she won't remember. I was going to make red chili peppers for FIL does anyone think that I could knead in chili powder for a more novel way to color and scent the decorations?
I'll be baking them to dry.
Are there any other items that might be in my kitchen to color MIL's? I don't know what I'm going to do for her yet so I'm open to inspiration.
Is the chili powder a good idea or did I come up with a really bad one? The reason I was thinking chili powder is because I got some bulk and have a ton of it and it's a dried chili pepper redish color.
TIA
