since i have been preg for 13 weeks, i received 5 terrible migraine headache and nausea (i have mig headache since i was 3 yrs old). before getting preg, i'd take excridin to make my headaches to go away, but now, i'm preg and i dont take that kind of pills. i just take typenol and they dont make the headaches to go away then they cause me to have nausea. both of headaches and nausea wouldn't stop all day. i tried to take a warm bath with lights off, tried to have my husband to massage my head (not good at massages, but better than nothing-wink), tried to drink lots of water, etc. nothing worked. i ended up went to the ER to have 2 bags of IV without any med and i felt so much in 2 hours later. so, what shall i do if i start to get a mig headache? how can i stop them without taking pills? your answers would be appreciated! thanks!

Have you thought about getting under consistent chiropractic care? When you're pregnant, you get all sorts of new hormones in your body...and unfortunately, sometimes that means more headaches. Chiro care helped me a lot. Also, when you feel one coming on, how about having DH do some trigger point pressure on you? Making sure to drink TONS of water so you do not get dehydrated, which will make a migraine come on...a baggie of ice on your neck sometimes will *help*.
Good luck!!

Chiropractic care would help a lot, if you get a good chiropractor. Mine (who is also a craniosacral therapist and nutritionist) gave me this homeopathic remedy:

http://www.amazon.com/King-Bio-Migra...?ie=UTF8&s=hpc

When I started going to my chiropractor, I was in the midst of a series of awful, disabling migraines, daily for almost three weeks. I was taking three prescriptions for the migraines (one to prevent them and two to alleviate them), but they did not work at all. (Only the adverse side effects were working just fine.) I don't take medication any more, (other than supplements and homeopathic remedies that she has recommended) and I haven't had a migraine in months.

Once in a while I feel one coming on, but I take the homeopathic remedy (the one in the link) and it keeps it from hitting full force. One of the prescriptions was supposed to do that (Imitrex) - you're supposed to take it at the very earliest sign of a migraine - but it didn't work for me. It may have reduced the severity of the headaches (I don't know what any individual migraine that I took it for would have been like without the medicine) but not much. Plus it was killer expensive! My insurance paid most of it, but even still I was paying a $20 copay for nine pills, pills that did not work. I think my insurance was paying around $250 for their share on those nine pills, so the pharmacy was charging about $30 a pill, and they didn't do anything! (Apparently, they work for some people, I guess - otherwise no one would buy them?)

I hope your insurance covers the chiropractor. With my insurance, I have to pay upfront and then they will reimburse a portion of it to me. It's so worth it though. I hope you can find someone to help you. I have been to other chiropractors, but I don't think any of the ones I saw before would be able to do what my current chiropractor does. She's not just a mechanic, if you know what I mean. (I see that English is your second language, a mechanic is the person who fixes cars and such, but I'm using it to mean someone who just goes by the book "oh migraines, let's move that bone over this way" - she has an incredible instinct and is an amazing healer. My previous chiropractor is like the mechanic, not so much in touch with the individual, but just doing whatever procedure is recommended for each ailment.)
