I live in a place that is always having a water shortage- New Mexico. We don't flush the toilet every time we pee to save water. We do however flush after a poo. This has really created a bad build-up of crud at the bottom of the toilet. My DH was ready to install a new toilet when I came across DESCALE IT toilet cleaner. Maybe this is old news to some of you but it has made my life easier. I flushed the toilet and turned the water off. Then I squirted the cleaner into the toilet and waited a few hours. I was able to scrub off all the built-up stuff without any effort. I am so thrilled. It is completely biodegradable and has no harsh odors.

T Since you mentioned the water shortage, I have a question? Do you use cloth diapers (I'm not trying to be inflamitory here)? I ask b/c a number of my friends site this a reason they don't use cloth (they live in drought prone or seasonally wet areas). I'm not sure what to think about the issue. Water is still a renewable resource vs. a disposable sitting in a landfill for the next 500 years!
