Tell me about the bloody show -- UPDATE with baby :)

Labor began with my water breaking for both my previous births so that was the definite sign. This time, I'm having contractions coupled with bloody show. PLEASE tell me that the show is a pretty sure sign??? I'm afraid of it going away and meaning that I missed Christmas dinner at my grandparents' for nothing more than a bunch of uncomfortable contractions.

With my last pregnancy, bloody show and regular contractions started simultaneously the day I gave birth.

This time, I've been having quite a lot of bloody show since Friday night but things seem to be picking up now. Hopefully, it's not going to be too much longer for me.

I hope this means labor for you!!

I had bloody show + ctx on several occasions during the 2 weeks prior to actually "going into" labor. I had lots of prodromal labor during those 2 weeks, mostly b/c I think DD was a little malpositioned.

The prodromaling often stopped when I took a shower or rested or got out of the house or focused on something else.

Maybe make yourself a nice cup of tea & get into the shower for a bit, take a rest and see how you feel? Either way, whether it is the beginning of labor or not, a little pampering and a cat nap can't hurt

I'm having bloody show right now. No contractions though. Apparently my sister lost her plug the night before she went into labour.
I'd say it is a pretty sure sign. Especially if other signs were/are accompanying it.

Slight blood in the mucous preceeding labor for me by about 3 days. I believe I had been laboring off and on since it's appearance on a Saturday evening, and then I was in full labor and having Whingari on Tuesday night.

I didn't have much, mind you, just a little bit of blood each time -- so I wasn't even sure it mattered.

Unless you see the plug itself, I'd assume you have a few days before the 'real thing.'

Happy laboring!

I'm feeling kind of silly now. I just figured it would be today and it doesn't look like it will be. You'd think being my third labor I should know...

I got leftover turkey, dressing, and potato salad sent to me. But it doesn't make up for having my hopes up all day. I guess patience is in order.

Awwww! I would have skipped it too - I also have had my water break to start labor with the first two, so anytime I see mucus I get all bug-eyed - but I've had no pink or red anything yet.

Well my water broke at 12:30 am and baby Holly was born in just over an hour. Story later -- it was a quick, hard, and satisfying home birth. Yay!!
