...I took a pg test and saw two little lines!

Isn't it crazy to think that a year ago we were finding out we were pg and now these babies are, well, so BIG?!?! I can't believe it! I got my positive test on the 22nd or 23rd, I think.

A year ago today, we were on the road to Dallas and I was SICK.:Puke Dh had bought me a cute maternity outfit for Christmas and at the checkout saw Preggie Pops and threw a package of those in with my gift. I sucked on them all the way to Dallas!!! When we got there, we told the ILs that I was pg and FIL was so happy! It was cute.

Whew...well I wish I had happy memories from a year ago...but I was puking my brains out...the in-laws were in town (with a week of heavy rain, so we were all housebound), and they all had colds, that DH and I caught when they went home! Ugh...I was grumpy, miserable and super hormonal.
I am so much happier and healthier this year with my beautiful baby girl, no illness, and no relatives in town!

Ohhh... do I remember....

We found out a little earlier on that I was pg-on the 12th or 13th I think. Anyhow, for Christmas, we went to SIL's house, and I just remember eating and eating and eating, and then falling asleep on the couch because I was soooooo tired. Jerk-off BIL took it upon himself to make 'lazy' comments about me, which is a joke, because he and SIL have twin boys that he NEVER does ANYTHING with, and never got up with in the night for either-SIL did and still does everything for those kids.

Anyhow, it's funny what we remember... I didn't start throwing up until the end of January.... LOL!

yeah, Christmas last year was pretty magical (& my bday- Dec 11). But I was ralphing & exhausted too (& my in-laws were here from Australia- fortunately they were very understanding).

Oh, I got my positive on my b-day (12/4). It wasn't as happy for me though because I started bleeding that day and started smearing my body in p cream since it was a Sunday. Saw the doc the next day for a prescription. Looking back on it now though, I think about what a miracle it is that he's here. I was SO worried back then.

Last year I was busy getting ready to host the "big" family party and was wondering why I had zero energy. I had the suspicion I might be pg, but I didn't want to test until after the party because I knew everyone would be asking when we would have another and I didn't want to spend all day talking about it. I really didn't even want to admit to myself that I might be pg since ds was a big surprise and I wasn't sure I was ready for another child. I'm so glad I was wrong about wanting another baby, because I love this little guy with all my heart. It is hard to think that all was a year ago already, seems like just yesterday, doesn't it?

I was sick and not able to eat any holiday foods last year. I was also so scared that this baby wouldn't make it either. I am so happy to have him here and safe (and oh so big) this year
