As I danced with dd the other day, I began pondering, I wonder what other mommies listen to with their dc? I love to dance with dd and I've got a variety of music for us to dance/play to...but I am always looking for more. So...What is some of your favorite music to dance/play to/with your dc?

It is so funny, I saw this thread and immediately thought"Bob Marley" My babies loved "No Woman No Cry" Also John Lennon,David Bowie, we played him and James Taylor during my labor. Kate Bush has this beautiful cd called The Kick Inside, I love playing that for my kids even now while they are getting ready for bed.

Well, Jonny hasn't shown much interest yet, but Ben loved Beastie Boys. I remember when the video for "intergalactic" came out, everytime it was on(and I would catch it) Ben would stand by the tv and dance.

OMG Mamapixie! It's so funny you should mention the Beastie Boys. Cecelia LOVES them. If she is fussy, DH turns them on and she starts squealing & giggling and will often even fall asleep. It is so crazy!

Ben did that too, with Beastie Boys, and Weezer! We were hoping he'd love Tori Amos, but nope, that would make him even more mad. Jonny never had a "cranky" time, so I've never noticed him liking any type of music over the other.

For the reggae, I knew a little girl who loved it, it was the only music that would calm her down when she was colicky.
