Welcome Gia and speedfunk!

speedfunk, if you don't mind my asking, what part of upstate NY are you from? I used to live in the Albany area, now I'm down near NYC. I miss upstate NY a lot!
beckyphry I'm around an hour South of Albany. I grew up in the area and really like it.

Can I vent?

Ok, so no more spotting today which is great. Saw my chiro today and she is only the second person we've told. I figured I had to tell her and it was soooo nice to tell someone. We are painfully waiting a few more weeks to tell family, etc.
However, the day went slowly down hill. My first day of every pregnancy sign all at once, most of the day. On the way to the chiro, already having a slight headache and slightly nauseous, the exhaust system to my car fell apart. After the appointment I took it into the shop, the whole thing needed to be replaced. I walked home, not a bad walk normally, but hungry and still quizzy. Later, after dropping a ton of money on a credit card for the car fix, DH and I decided to order out. The order came, half of it was wrong. So I called and the person I was speeking with was misunderstanding what I was saying, i was loosing my patients but trying to be cool, DH is trying to take the phone from me, I waved him away. Just a note: I'm not usually pleasant when I'm too hungry. I think the pregnancy has kicked that up a notch. Anyhow, DH tells me he would have handled it differently. I blew up telling him he had no idea how or what I was feeling, that I tried to be as pleasant as possible, etc. I'm just so
Doesn't he get it? Unexpectedly, I've had to quit smoking cold turkey (I was working on it), give up my couple of glasses of red wine, can't keep my eyes open past 9pm, pee every 30 mins, you know what I mean. Please, don't get me wrong, all for good cause, I'm just a bit overwhelmed today. DH and I kissed and but I'm not sure he's putting it all together. It's all good (and now that I've had some food...: ) but I just hope I don't loose myself like that and I also hope DH won't pick on me.
Anyhow, sorry to bore you if you got this far. I guess the only point I had was to vent. Thank you so much.

Name: Marcelle

Age: 34 and holding....but losing the battle!

Previous Pregnancies: 2, my two sons aged 4 and 2

Due Date: not quite sure yet -- anywhere from the 2nd to the 6th of September.

Birth Plans: Good question. Hospital birth is a given due to my history. DS#2 was IUGR and I have a family history of placental insufficiency. I have the kind of monitoring during pregnancy that would make most MDC members run.

Location: Southern Ontario

Current Symptoms: HUNGRY! tired. HUNGRY! tired....

Looking forward to spending the next nine months with you.

Oh, nikkihoi.

So sorry you had such a bad day - all those symptoms at once! I can't imagine trying to quit smoking at the same time. I watched my stepmother try to quit (while not pregnant) and she was just ... well, she wasn't very pleasant. I felt so badly for her at the time; just couldn't control her emotions. Definitely sending you big hugs and wishes for a better day. That's the best thing about going to bed after a day like you had. There's always hope for a fresh start in the morning.

Thanks for the ATD Mom. I needed that. And yes, you are right about the going to bed part, I love that excuse.
Hopefully today will be better. If I'm smart, I'll motivate myself to get to the 9:30am Yoga class and breeeeath.
Have a great day!

Current Symptoms: slight cramping, lots of gas, tired, skin break out initially but that has cleared, sore boobs

Stacey, it'll get way more confusing Add an US into the mix and the fact that EDDs are a work of fiction anyhow and you have great fun.
nikkihoi, I'm so sorry your day was so bad- but you're doing so well giving up smoking.

Stacey - My first was "due" on Sept 27th and I spent my entire pregnancy focusing on that single day. Then, what do you know, I go into labor naturally on Sept 7th, he's born on Sept 8th and he was normal, average weight and everything.

flapjack and Maylea_moon I am preparing myself for a ride as I know hardly anything about this pregnancy thing!! :

I have a TMI question: This morning I woke up with really intense stomach pain, and ran to the bathroom. I ended up going to the bathroom painfully but felt better immediately afterward. My husband was saying that something intestinal was going around his work. He had it yesterday but felt better after going to the bathroom several times. I feel much better and have had no bleeding or anything. Do you think this was just a bug of some sort?? DH thinks I am being very paranoid but this is my first time so I don't know what to think??

I appreciate your help with this.

Yes. :
I have the eternal flu. : But it's pregnancy, not the flu.

It sucks so much. Life is going on even though I'm incapacitated. My house is falling apart, my kids are eating prepackaged (though organic and additive-free) food, and I've been going to bed on average at 7pm, which is before my children. I hope this gets better soon.

Becky: you are so lucky!!!

Melissa: I feel you!!! I am an organization freak and I also cook almost all our meals.... well not so much right now!!... things are not so easy for me either.... I am so sorry that you are going through this as well.... HOWEVER..... there is a wonderful little blessing at the end of the tunnel!!! It makes it all worth it!

Rachel, this is a DDC. The reason it exists is so you can ask that kind of question and not embarrass yourself somewhere that will get 10 million hits a day, like TAO. And to answer the question, yes, I get profuse flows of vaginal and cervical goop during pregnancy too, but I haven't noticed it yet, actually. Very odd. (And the dog goes rooting through the laundry basket for my underwear during pregnancy, too. Nice, huh?)
I'm not that tired either. Sick as a dog and I have pregnancy rhinitis, but I can stay awake. Weird, huh?

RachelS I also have a ton of CM, it's a little strange. This is my first pregnancy so I'm watching myself like a hawk. I don't have too many symptoms, my BBs have gotten bigger and are sore. And I'm salivating more which in my mind triggers thoughts of good food.

One thing that I noticed yesterday, I was on some emotional rollercoaster, one moment laughing and loving my DH next crying and wondering if we should even have kids together. That for me is STRANGE, I'm usually pretty stable . I even noticed it myself yesterday and so I'd be feeling like crying but catch how ridiculous I was acting and start laughing. Anyone else know what I'm talking about? I've got a pretty bad cold so maybe that's affecting me too. Oh and I'm tired... my house is in desperate need of some cleaning but I just can't be bothered.
