September 2007 Mamas! Check In Here! - Page 2

Emily, I like that you're posting over here too!

Nice to meet you, Mindi!

Welcome, Jeanine. I ovulated Dec 10th and my due date is 9/02/07, so yours is probably 9/03. I've also had a recent miscarriage, so I totally understand your apprehension. Will you be having bloodwork done?

Welcome Betsy and Nicole!

I tested today and got a faint line. I read on peeonastick.com that the +/- tests aren't to be trusted or have false positives or...anyway...

Anyway, I bought another test tonight and will test again tomorrow before I officially join.

The kicker----my hubby is 2 years post vasectomy. We may be one of the 12% of failures.....

Anyway, I might see you around!
I want to ask a question quick... what are your cervix positions like?

Mine is medium, tilted back, and a bit "crispy" (firm but the rest of my cervix is medium)

Good luck its_our_family tomorrow!!! I got a very very very faint line the first time I tested too!! My cousin just gave birth yesterday to a healthy little boy and her husband had a vasectomy too! They were in shock when they found out they were pregnant!

Thanks. I have really mixed emotions about this. So, tomorrow I'll have a better idea of what is going on....I hope....

Becky,
I had HCG tested today (don't know the results) and will test again on Friday to make sure it's increasing appropriately. The nurse said the doc may want to test weekly after that, but I'm not sure at this point. I have an u/s scheduled for 3 weeks. The thing with the progesterone is, if the embryo stops developing, my body won't expel it while I'm on the progesterone, which I'll have to take for 10 or 12 weeks. I want to keep my "eye" on it, so that I can stop the progesterone, if need be. (Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, everything's going to be fine.) I'm scared to get my hopes up. I'm actually a little surprised that I posted here.
Congratulations to everyone, and sticky baby thoughts all around!

Aw, Megan, I'm so very sorry. I know how scary it is and how much it just sucks.

Jeannine, best of luck on your repeat betas tomorrow. I go for my repeat today (progesterone was fine at 29.9 on Tuesday). Fingers crossed for both of us! :

I took another test this morning and it was negative. So, I'm going to bow out of this ddc I still haven't started my period, 3 or 4 days late, so if it doesn't start by Sunday I'll test again.

Good luck and enjoy your pregnancies!!

Ok, I took a second test, I used a cup, and it had the same light line. But it was the same brand test that gave me the light line yetersday.

Anyone know anything about the +/- tests?? I read they were no good on peeonastick.com or they had a high false positive rate.

I got the negative on Answer Quick and Simple. I still have the cup. Should I try a different brand?? FRER or something??

I did a lot of tests and some of them were darker than others, even the same brand.
How stressful for you to not know! I would totally be getting another kind of test and saving the pee!

GOOD LUCK!

Megan,
I read about the false + stuff at peeonastick.com as well for the +/- tests. I actually ended up using those tests this pregnancy, and I've gotten positives. Even prior to getting a positive, I was pretty sure that I was pregnant, though.

I think that if you're getting a questionable line, trying a different test is worth it. You can get pretty cheap and reliable tests at the dollar store these days. Are you charting? Being late can be caused by so many things, most often (if not pregnancy) than by a delayed ovulation.

I don't know, maybe your best bet is to wait a few days and test again if AF still doesn't show up.

Good luck, and I hope you get some happy results soon!

See, I'm not just testing cause I'm late. If I was jsut late I'd just move on. But it is the other stuff....

3 or 4 days late, heartburn whenever I eat, the charlie horse muscle spasm issue, dull low back ache, cramps that are mild, cervix is closed firm and tilted to my spine--like with Bryce, the increase in what I can express, sore breasts, and this morning my boobs are too big for my bra

Last night getting in bed my husband said, Um, is your period here yet cause those look like pregnant boobs.

More than likely this is jsut a "late" issue. But when I took the test and got that light line...I started to freak out a bit

It certainly sounds like some pregnancy symptoms there. I think it's entirely possible that you are pregnant, and just not producing enough HCG yet to get a consistantly positive test.
Waiting sucks, though....
