Baby # 3

My name is Janice I have 2 boys ages 19mos and 3 years old. I just found out yesterday I am 5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd and last child!!!! I'm in college I'm working towards my masters in speech pathology. My husband is really excited!! and I'm kinda scared!!! My youngest son is hearing impared of unknown causes. So I am really worried about the new baby!!!! We will find out on Valentines day if the problem is genetic. Although I hope it's not, If it is then theres a 25% chance of hearing loss in this child as well......I wanna see if it's possible to have a vbac!!! I am so sleepy!!!! and hungry...but this time I am going to eat healthy and exercise normally....

I haven't checked into this thread yet.......only because I had a m/c with my first pg and I am leery. I am just at the point now where I m/c the last time.

But I am already on the Official List.

Name: Laura
Age: 38
Previous Preg : 1 ending in m/c 11/17/06
Due Date : 09/21/07
Birth Plans: Good Samaritan Hospital only because my HMO won't cover anything else
Location: Colorado
Symptoms: A little quizzy after dinner. Sore boobs. Favorite pair of jeans is getting a little tighter.

I have been a very patient woman waiting for this baby. Since it "normally" takes 2 to make a baby, it was much too long to find Mr. Right. But luckily not too long. Life will be so different soon. And I am really looking forward to it!
I am just praying that my parent's health stays well so that they can enjoy their first grand child.

Squeaking in at the tail end of the month!

Name: Amy
Age: a few weeks shy of 38
Previous Pregnancies: 5 confirmed--resulting in 4 DDs, ages 9, 7, almost 4, and 1, and one loss...and three other suspected very early losses
Due Date: September 29th
Birth Plans: unmedicated hospital birth
Current Symptoms: Tiredness, some queasiness when hungry, bleeding (but we are still hopeful - trying to figure out why...)

Hi all, time to check in. I was leery to do so before because of my m/c when my little one was 18mos. I'm ending 9 wks now and morning or rather night sickness is still strong.
name: Marianne
age: 41
previous preg: this is my 5th, two m/c and two girls ages 9 and 3
due date: Sept 1
birth plans: repeat c/s or vbac
current symptoms: feel great first thing in the morning then about 10am m/s starts and by 8pm feeling really sick and that lasts until about 2am; not feeling overly tired which is nice; and heartburn depending on what I eat.

We are so excited about this baby, we are hoping for a little boy and this will be our last. The first few weeks I was very tense especially when I started spotting a little but so far so good.

Nothing like joining a party late

Name: Katie
Age: 26
Previous Preg : 2, DS, 3 yo, DD 22 monthes
Due Date : early September
Birth Plans: Hopefully, the cozy hospital birth center, more likely, the terrible teaching hospital where I had DS... Would love a homebirth, but medically risked out of midwife-care (gotta love NYS and liability issues!), and probably stuck in OB hell...:
Location: Central NY
Symptoms: Crazy dreams, random cravings and food aversion, mild nausea, fatigue, plus DD has indicated that "her" milk (my bm) tastes wrong...

I wrote a thread a week or two ago in "I'm Pregnant" called "How to Unplan a Pregnancy"... DH and I only seem to able to conceive when we're absolutely not trying! We're happy about this baby, though, and I plan to really enjoy this pregnancy, as we plan on this being the last one-- DH is planning the big V (he's the youngest of 8 kids, and doesn't want to have any more "guess what, honey!" conversations)...

I have my first OB appt next Wednesday, so we'll see how it goes. My cardiologist already gave me a stern lecture (I have a complicated cardiac history, and I'm not the most compliant patient, but I've had two successful pregnancies resulting in two healthy, active kids), so I hope the OB, who is actually part of the practice I work for, won't blow a gasket, too...

I still have to go through all the posts on this thread, but I'm glad to be among you lovely mommas and mommas-to-be!!!

-Katie

Hi!

Name: Keila
Age: 34
Previous Pregnancies: 2 - resulting in 2 DDs, ages 3 yo and 21 mo
Due Date: early September
Birth Plans: working on this . . . last 2 were quick, drug-free, vaginal hospital deliveries
Location: Metropolis, home of Superman
Current Symptoms: all-day, all-night nausea and weird, crazy dreams

I really don’t like telling anyone about my pregnancy so early, but I thought I would give this a try. ;-) I am tandem nursing already, and we have EC’d both of our girls. I am SUPER excited about ec’ing a newborn again. I also love babywearing.

I'd love if you'd start a thread on our little group about the basics of how you EC'd. I've been doing a bit of reading and I'm interested, but all the info is rather overwhelming. I'd really like nuts and bolts how to and what worked and didn't for you.

Late checking in

Hi All!

I am a little late checking in while making sure this babe planned to stick around...
Name: Sarah
Age: 32
Previous Pregnancies: 1 resulting in miscarriage 10/17/06
Due Date: September 21, 2007
Birth Plans: in a hospital birth center with a midwife
location: Southwest Ohio
current symptoms: losing my waistline and gaining weight - feeling the little booger squirm around - i dream about guacamole and fresh salsa - a lot!

I have been lurking for a while and I am finally getting comfortable enough with this babe to start letting the world know - although my belly will surely take care of that for me soon enough!
I work as a computer sys. admin at a local university. I love to sew, knit, and garden. My husband and I love motorscooters (Vespas). My husband attends school full time pursuing an engineering degree.
This is quite the experience for a girl and I am glad to have the support of other like minded mamas!

Welcome Sarah! I am not too far from you - I am in Southeastern Indiana.

Congrats on your sticky babe!
