Psychic (Girl) Friends Network??

OK. I'm officially a little weirded out by my girlfriends and female family members.

On 'smas, my SIL gave me a box of ALL GIRL CLOTHES, including a bunch of dresses. AND ALL NEW!

And I've now been given a bunch of clothes from my girlfriends, and a REALLY DISPROPORTIONATE number of them are pink and frilly. And they all laugh at me when I give them my fish-eye look, and say "we KNOW it's a girl!"

CRIPES! ~I~ don't "know" it's a girl!

My grandmother is convinced it's a girl too (from 1200 miles away), but fortunately hasn't backed up her conviction with gifts we may not be able to use.

So...we really REALLY don't KNOW what gender this baby is. If baby is a boy, I hope he looks really macho to carry off all that pink, because we can't afford to replace all those clothes!!

Not to sound ungrateful to my fam & friends, you know, but WTF!!!?!?!?!?!

Is anyone else experiencing the weirdest onslaught of quasi-psychic behavior from otherwise rational people?????

If it IS a girl, I'm sure they'll all be gratified. And I'll be grateful that we can use all our clothes, but...sheesh!!!

Wow! That's pretty weird... They didn't include gift reciepts? Or some way to return them? I can understand wanting you to have a girl, or even hoping it was a girl and buying pink w/reciepts. But to just give you girl clothes, with no way to return them, weird!

Right! OK, SIL did include a gift receipt, but she's unique. What am I missing???!?

Rebekah, you are not alone. My family is convinced it's a girl. They haven't gone quite so far as yours with the clothes and stuff, but WOW.

On a similar note, when I was pg with my son, everyone including me thought he was a girl. Even a psychic told me GIRL! So...

You definitely get the award, though. Hopefully, they will take the clothes back and exchange for you if you have a boy.
