Ok well Im not the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to crafts.. not even sure if this IS a craft... just something I have to do lol

I have new wood floors in my house... My WHOLE house is wood floor.. so my dd slips all over the place.

I want to put that stuff on the bottom of her socks that are on those slipper socks you can get at the store...

is there a glue or something that I can dab on the bottom of her socks to give her some traction?

sorry Im a dork and cannot think of what it would be called.

Two things people use are fabric glue and plasti-dip. Fabric glue you should be able to get at any craft store, plasti-dip can be found at the hardware store (here I found it at home depot but not lowes, so you might want to check before you go out looking for it) Good luck

I've heard of some people using puff paint. Used to be at all the craft stores (it was very "in") don't know if it still is or not.

You can also use hot glue from a hot glue gun, but if you do you then can't get them hot like in the dryer or on a radiator or the stuff will melt.

Yeah, I've heard of using puffy paint, too. I think we were considering it as a craft one year -- making slipper socks for the cousins using puffy paint on the bottom of socks. It's usually in with the fabric paint, in places like Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's or somesuch (maybe even Walmart's craft section). Just grab a clerk and ask them.

I suspect we could even find a link to directions if we googled -- it sounds like the sort of thing you'd find in FamilyFun.com

Edited to add:Here's one, but no pictures ... I know I've seen pictures of this somewhere....

I used puffy paint (we have tile floors). It was EASY. One little bit of advice-- try to make it as flat as possible. No globs or big puffy dots or they will be uncomfotable on the bottom of the child's shoes and will leave red marks on the bottoms of their feet. Just drag the tip of the paint on the sock in a quick motion rather than dots.

Thanks SOOO much!!!

My dh is going to check the Home Depot website... Because of course.. He would know better lol

and if they do not have it I will give the puffy paint a go at it... Good news is that if I screwed up its ok... she is growing out of her socks and I can just buy more lol

For some reason I love buying socks....more than shoes even lol
