I had my baby 18 days ago....and aside from the first few days...my bleeding was not that bad. However, in the last few days it's gone bright red again, and yesterday i passed a HUGE clot....like it was the size of a thick sausage....is this something to be worried about???

Yep- normal. I had a golf ball sized clot, and my midwife said it was fine (she said they can be fist sized even). She said what is not normal is multiple clots, so if you have a lot more, get it checked out.
I'm still bleeding slightly at over 6 weeks postpartum.

I had something similar happen at 12 days PP. The lochia had gotten to a very light pink shade, and then suddenly went bright red and I had some uncomfortable cramping. The midwife had been telling me to expect it, since an edge of the placenta would have appeared to have come off the main mass. Then I had something pass through--didn't see it, only felt it-- and then by the next day all the bright red was gone and I have almost no lochia at all, at 16 days PP.
I'd tell your practitioner if the bright red doesn't go away now that you've passed whatever it was. Otherwise, seems really normal.

Add in still having significant cramping.
Remove clot.

well im only 4 days post, but clots are normal, i passed one at the hospital the size of my fist but when i felt my belly cuz i was still contracting since they gave me pitocin to deliver the placenta i could feel where the clot was on my belly, i was glad i passed it when id id the dr came in the following day to make sure my uterus was contracting good, i didnt want to have that keepin me there or something, so far the bleeding isnt that bad it was worse with my son and they actually tried to get out as much as possible after he was born since i had the epidural , this time i had no drugs other then the potocin after she came out to get the placenta out, iw ould assume the bleeding is normal as long as u arent passing alot of clots and in terrible pain. maybe its your period starting out of nowhere lol ya just never know
