My mom says to me out of the blue yesterday, "He's [Ryan] not going to be upset when it's a girl, is he?" I said I didn't think so (he always jokes that if it's a girl he's going to send it to Siberia, b/c girls are too much trouble). Then she says, "I guess I could be wrong, but I'm sure it's a girl."
I told Ryan that last night, and first he rolled his eyes and said, "What? Is she some kind of pyschic now?" The after a few minutes he goes, "I guess we should pick some girls names, huh? I've just been convinced it was a boy...."
Later on, he started poking my stomach and talking to it, saying, "Come on! Kick me, Sally!" I laughed and said, "Sally? I thought we were calling it Herman?" He said, "Well since your mother has gotten in touch with her inner Dionne Warwick, I figure I better get used to using a girl's name!"
Strangely, enough, I did dream last night that I had a girl. Of course, I also dreamt that I gave birth on his bedroom floor, and that it took all of about 3 minutes; the baby just popped out. Wouldn't that be nice?!
