Anyone still nursing and co-sleeping? - Page 3

Here, here!! My 12.5 month old is an avid nurser and I'm not sure how things are going to go. I've just decided to take it one day at a time and be considerate of his needs as much as possible but also be able to have boundrieds for myself. (read: nipple soreness and bfing does not feel good). So sometimes I have to say no now, or divert attn. or only let him nurse for a couple of minutes. And as far as co sleeping I would like to get him into his own bed next to ours b4 baby #2 comes. Any suggestions?

I wish I could be happy about the whole weaning process. It just makes me emotional and want to cry (as much as it drives me totally insane sometimes!!). :

Is anyone's dh out there not on board with nursing 2?

i'm nursing 5 or 6 time a day/night and share a bed with ds for the last 3 or 4 hours of the night.
i'm not quite sure what i'm going to do as far as tandem/weaning goes.
i'm bfar'ing (breast feeding after a reduction) so i don't have a full supply.
what are you ladies thinking?

I plan on tandeming if he's still nursing then. I haven't done it before. Ds1 was weaned before Ds2 was born.

I too am wishing he'd cut back some. I know he's not ready to wean though. He nurses lots during the day and it seems ALL night long. Last night was bad. I guess I'm feeling this way because I'm preggo. I'm just going to hang in there and do the best I can.

They both still sleep with us too. So he has me right beside him all night. I know that makes it so easy for him yk? Anyway - we don't plan on weaning.

I am still nursing my 28 mth old DD. She partially co-sleeps with us. She goes to sleep in her crib but typically ends up with us somewhere around 2AM. In addition to her we also have 2 small Bichons in the bed so I have no ideas where we will all go. I partially used a co-sleeper with DD and like it. I will probably end up using it even more once the baby arrives.

yup--still nursing and partially cosleeping

Hi

My dd is 31 months old and she is STRONG nurser! I am really freaked out about continuing to nurse her though, since I am pretty sure I don't want to tandem nurse. aT the same time, I don't want her to hate the new baby if i tell her she has to stop nursing because a baby is on the way.

Anyway, you aren't alone!
