Hi ladies

well my PPAF lasted 30 hours of very spotty, light flow. DH swears it was implantation bleeding (not certain how HE would know! ahhaha!)

So we will test in the morning with FMU and see... not expecting a BFP but good to see just in case.

Have a nice New Year... I am going to read some threads, drink some water and sleep! AHAHHAHA!

Hiya!

I'm new to this thread, mom to 23 month old Allison, and we're in the 2ww of our first month of TTC! Considering testing tomorrow, which is roughly 11dpo. I know it's a slim chance that we'd get a BFP so early, even if we were successful this month, but I figured I'd give it a try and maybe get a nice New Year's Day gift

I think I will test every other or few days ... who knows!

I'm a nursing mom, and have a 17mo DD. We would love to conceive in the next few months...hopefully right away!

Does anyone here know why OPKs sometimes give the lighter line in the test window and then sometimes does not? Does that mean that some hormone is present, but not enough to consider it a positive? Does that mean o can be close at hand? Or, am I thinking about things far too much?

I took an equate (walmart brand) ept test this morning and it was negative Funny thing is that you get a line in one window (control window I guess) and either a negative or a positive in the window that lets you know if you're pg or not. The negative that I got was SUPER light, but the control window line was REALLY bright. Dh says we can make an appointment with doc to get a blood test because the symptoms are still going on (increased hunger and thirst, nausea, frequent urination, leaking boobs, and now I'm getting pains in my lower back.)

I hope this year brings all of us BFPs sooner than later. I am still waiting to O, it should be this week sometime so DH and I are going to BD every other day until my fert. mnitor says peak and then everyday until it says low. This is our first month of clomid and I haven't had any side effects really except sore nipples. Hope everyone is ready for a wonderful 2007!

Seems to me the O tests i used of pregencytestonline.com -- the test line at Pos is never quite as dark as the control line, but it is consistnt in and of itself -- Make Sense? but that could be me.

I am having very light, very dark spotting. TMI ahead. In an effort to not think about it I am wearing black panties so I cannot see it and it isn't even enough for a pantiliner. I am 10 dpo and I spotted lightly for 3 days before af started in earnest last month. I am trying not to think about it (except for when I am on this thread. )

Poor planning on my part! I was going to test this am, but I realized that I think all the stores are closed because of new years and I used my last test last month. : Now of course that I've decided to test and can't, it'll drive me crazy!

Thanks for all the wishes to feel better. This cold/flu thing has been hanging on for nearly two weeks. Run through the kiddos as well, though for them it was FAR shorter. (will someone breastfeed me so I can have less colds? ) Hopefully it won't last too much longer.

We don't pay anything for blood tests, so we're going to try to make an appointment tomorrow.

one cool thing

DH and I talked about tandam nurseing today.

DS was nurseing in bed, DH touched the other boob and DS got MAD -- he shoved DH's hand off and went right to nurseing on THAT boob, so DH -- a child himeslf-- touched the other boob.....and DS did it again.

I said to ds "you are going to have to share, what about whent he baby comes"

so DH said "I thought you wanted to wean when pg" -- which WAS the plan when we started talking at month 2 and 3 adn 4 about TTC at month 12.

I was so admant anti-tandom nurseing. adn I think i still would be if I was TTC with Theo beign 22 months, not 14 months -- I think if he was two, or was going to be over two when i got pg -- i still would be of the opionion to wean before the birth.

Sometime around month 6 or 8 I realized that wasn't going to work. not for DS or for me. he is STILL a baby. So much a baby. seesm no differnt to me to nurse him now, on cue, all day and all night, than it did to do so when he was 4 months old. now when he is eating a lot and talking, it may seem different.

So I told DH that I want to keep nuseing DS as long as I can and he wants to. i told him IF ds self-weans whent he milk changes taest or when the supply dropps -- i won't fight him. but i pointed out that DS is still getinng 90% of his calories from ME and while he is showing more interst in food, and getting more teeth, at this point he can't give me up.

I told DH I plan to nurse as long sa i can -- weaning only if there are complications with the pg. adn that we'll see how 2 at teh breast works for us -- and that they may or may not be able to nurse at the same time.

I told him i wanted to make decisions at the time based on DS needs nutrionally and developementally -- and my health / pg heath.

DH was totally supportive. said it all sounded reasonable and logical and was fine with him. -------------- i had been a bit worried he'd think tandam nurseing was abit too far gone for him -------------------

he did point out i had a great deal of trouble with weight gain the first time,a dn that Theodore was SGA -- and thoese are concerns again.

But over all it was a great talk.

I went out today to Walmart and we bought 2 packs of Clear Blue Easy and Answer brands of pg tests (and I still have 1 left over from the package of equate brand tests.)
