Why can't I just accept that I am NOT a craftsy sort of person? I'm just not.
I tried to learn to sew, I have an ability to connect straight seams, that's about it.
I tried to learn to crochet. That lasted about 30 minutes and much frustration with no actual result.
When I was pregnant with DS, I tried to make a stupid counted cross stitch Pooh bear thing, I went out and bought another set cause I got PO'd that I was off. I'm sure the
thing still exists somewhere. I know I never finished it.
And now, I can't even make one of those stupid tied fleece blankets for Sophie.
DS got one as a gift. His is Pooh, purple, with white outline-Pooh back.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Eeyore, so when I saw pink Eeyore fleece, I figured I *had* to try to make Sophie her own.
So I figure, all I gotta do right is cut and tie. cut and tie.
Well, first off my fabrics aren't quite the same size somehow, but I've compensated for this by deciding we'll get rid of the edge with the words on the Eeyore fabric, other than that, I'm told the teeny bit of difference won't make a difference. (I've got several friends that have done these before.)
So I cut one side and I started tying, and it looks all messed up.
I have no idea what's wrong with it, if my strips are too wide, what's going on, I mean how hard can this be?????
I'd look at DS's but he's asleep and it is in the top of his closet, I can't get to it without potentially making a bunch of noise.
already though from the edge I can see it looks like his ties are skinnier.....that's fixable I guess.
they might not be the most even either, I don't have lots of space and I was stretching all over trying to get to the other end......*sigh*
anyway tell me again why I don't just give it up? I've probably wrecked about 20 bucks worth of stupid fleece now. All cause I think I can make stuff when really I've proven plenty of times I should just forget it.

Otherwise, call up one of those crafty friends who have done this before and beg her to come fix your mess, lol.
