1. Get my license. Finally.
2. Health issues more managed
3. Get published!
Goals-for me (we also created family goals and house)
-improve and continue work on play and smart toys
-create a website about play and related information (started yesterday moonandme.com)
-expand garden
-present at national conference

family-
watch less t.v. and less online
spend more time reading to each other
spend more time learning and playing instruments
help the kiddos keep toys/clothes picked up
Get pregnant
stop using plastic bags (any and all)

Ode- my goodness, how scarey!!!! How is your boy doing today?

Mammaofthree- wow, time flies! I always enjoyed that time in pregnancy, well until the last 3 weeks, which always seem to be blah for me.

Good morning everyone!

I consider myself a Dianic witch but not Wiccan.

I'm really having fun with the Goddesses this year already!

My goals for the year:

1. purchase a new cage and travel cage for my parrot, Jing.
2. purchase at least one Goddess oriented "toy" for myself each month. I need a good wand and some Goddess dolls and there are new divination tools out there I'm drooling over. Plus, an actual altar would be nice.
3. call a new little soul to our household.
4. yell less.
5. drop a few more pounds and get active in nature more.
6. begin Bikram yoga.
7. support my DH in his work more.
8. resume classes in spirituality, particularly astrology. I feel a real pull to that one. plus, join one or more online classes.
9. take cooking classes.
10. keep increasing my income on GPT websites to pay for all of the above.
11. journal more
12. submit articles for publishing.
13. either go to Womongathering or a PSG this year. Branch out and make more friends there.

That's enough!!

For those of you who work with Goddesses, do you have a personal Goddess? I went to Isis when I was "infertile" a lot but a Gaia statue gave me my positive pregnancy test so I feel a particular fondness for both of them, especially when I'm feeling babyswoonish.

I WISH Patrick Stewart was a personal guide.

And more...

Happy birthday, Igraine!

And Ode, how is your son today? That's not a good way to start the calendar year, my friend.

He seems to be doing ok. Last night, as he was falling asleep (and even in sleep at times), he kept reaching to the back of his neck. I think it was/is sore.
Thanks for asking.

For those of you who read my MomSpace blog, feel free to leave a comment. Even if just to say hi. : It's weirding me out that so many people have viewed my blog but not many have even left a comment. It almost feels...violating. heh.

Yeah, don't I know it. I'm trying not to be superstitious about it.
A friend on another board gave it a different perspective. She said that maybe this was getting out all the bad luck at the beginning of the year so that the rest of the year can be wonderful.
I like that idea.

I'm glad he's doing as well as can be hoped for. I hope the pain passes quickly.

I'll TRY to post on your blog but I'm one of those weird people who doesn't really like them. I think I'm too old. I just don't get the "diary out there in public thing." And it seems like every person I've ever known wants everyone else to read their blog. My friends are putting stuff out there I just don't need to know!!!
Do you keep a personal diary too so that your blog is just public stuff? I'm not trying to be snarky. I'm just trying to get this whole phenomena.

I'll be 40 this month and I blog. I've learned not to put really personal stuff on it though.
I do not have a personal, private journal...although sometimes I think it would be nice for ds to have my 'memoirs'. When I did have a private journal though, all my negative junk ended up in it (to get it off my chest, so to speak) and it wasn't something I'd like my ds to read. heh.
Anything that I deem to be truly TMI, I don't disclose it.
The MomSpace blog is just for fun. But, I have to admit, that if people continue to read it without commenting, I'll probably delete it. It really does feel like a violation...even if there's nothing truly taboo in it. I think that some people like to read some blogs just to see if they can get any 'dirt' on them.
(It's happened to me before).
It's fun for now. When it's no longer fun, I won't do it.

just subbing for now, have lots of business issues to straighten out today missing packages from UPS that disappeared during the blizzard, stuff to get shipped, followups with a couple clients that we weren't able to get to due to the storms, blah, blah! I see we're chatting resolutions- yay, it always feels so much more concrete to me to spill my goals to others, like I'm putting it out there to be official, kwim? Anyhoo- be back after I get all this squared away today and I'll catch up- now don't you all go putting on a bunch more pages for me to read today

And Blessed New Year, everyone!! to our new mamas!!

I crocheted my first blob last night! I can see becoming addicted to this.

I bought the book "Saving Dinner" for myself and I love it. No more having to think about dinner/menus/grocery lists. Anything that makes life easier is a big plus for me.

I don't get blogs either. I get that they can be a fun way to keep in touch with people, but I don't get posting private things or things you don't want others to find out.

Off to buy some yarn!

HEY! I am so happy! A dear mama friend of mine is in labor! She and I are the last ones to still be breeding in our group of 10 mama friends. She is done after this one and so am I. It is a happy and sad time I think. But right now I am bursting! I had to tell someone!

Happy New Year!!!!!

Hey all!

Things have been pretty smooth sailing so far. Oh, course we're only a couple days into things though.

I'm kind of in a weird mood/place. As 2006 ended and 2007 started I had some epiphanies and the really weird thing for me was the last meditation of the year that I did (i'm not going to do into details right now) was to keep my eyes and ears open my head down that something big is comming and it's not going to be pretty. :

On the up side we were kid free for new years eve and the real prty started around midnight.

My goals are to get schooling back on track for the kids, get my schooling back on track, get us moved, get the house decluttered and keep my religious stuff on track.

I'm soooo reading the squash blog.

Kleine, congrats on the blob!! I'm impressed. Knitting is another of those things I'd love to learn to do.

We cleaned our bedroom and office from top to bottom today. I swear the wood floors feel warmer now that they've been mopped. I need me some bald cats too. :

I'm BAAACKKK!

I just started my 3RD Trimester today! Holy freaking cow.

:
I miss you all, and I sense a return to lazy times in my near future the bigger and slower I get, so I might actually keep up again. It made me sad that we all have been having trouble sleeping and it took me 3 days to realize the moon is nearly full. I have been out of the spiritual loop lately.

LOL @ Patrick Stewart...he can make it so anytime over here. Him & sean connery... bald older hotties : 'My' Goddesses are Brighid... I'm a crafting, baby havin fool, so she's perfect for me lol. I'm also very fond of Quan Yin & Isis as well. Isis gave me a great deal of comfort during a very hard time.

A blob is just a tangled mass of yarn that is supposed to resemble crochet.

Liz ~ I would have posted a comment on your MomSpace, but was having new-mommy-brain and couldn't find the 'leave comment' button. I hope Anton is doing well. Big hugs to both of you
