I just can't stop giggling about the "Left Behind" stuff. One of my Christian friends confessed to me that other night that she gets nightmares about it because she just knows she's not the right sect to get to go!! I teased her and said she's welcome to hang out with us heathens and have fun and she cracked up. (She's a little bit anxious!!) And then we sat down and tried to figure out how many cults think the are the only ones who get to ascend to heaven and then we were really hysterical. :

Go to Photobucket.com and register for an account, upload your pic, and then come back here and post the URL that they give you.

Sorry, we were at a homeschool event.

I ordered a sculpture of the green man today. My altar is very sad and it needs a few things. I should have it in time for Imbolic.

Very cool Karen.. I have a little greenman plaque that is on my altar too =) I picked up a couple of new candles yesterday.. one neat textured teal one thats blueberry scented and a white coconut scented one (my fave The blueberry one is on the altar.. mainly because it matches the colour of the hutch

I was away yesterday... sorta had a VERY bad morning with the boys.. Connor (2yo) was being a terror beyond belief. To the point that I ended up in tears and actually had to call hubby home from work.. he sent me out for a day of ME time because he said I really needed it, he was right It did me a world of good to get out with a girlfriend for lunch and a bit of window shopping.

LOL Ok... it's lunch time here now. We're having sandwiches, watermelon & grapes and yogurt. Probably a bit of an odd time for lunch for you though.. dinner perhaps?

cari, that is awesome!

i have a thing i need to ask for help on-- i'll plant the bug now, but you have a bit to think on it.

we're building a guest house in the back of my mom's property.... and the tree that has grown to beautious heights over what was for many years in my childhood the place where my animal companions were laid to rest.... will be sacrificed to the construction. um, not to mention, the resting place will become the foundation for our new abode.

in other words, i'm going to dig up my old gerbil's graves so i can build a house.

clearly i will need a ceremony.

thoughts?

Cari, Oz is on our list for places to visit in the next few years. We plan on taking one major trip every year starting next Januaryish. I'm finally going to get my honeymoon is Tahiti - 8 years later.
But we want to take the kids to the Australia Zoo the following year. I have a cat named Crikey!!
We found him the weekend Steve Irwin died.

Awww Moose. I can see burning some candles and a good cleansing incense and gently telling your spirit critters that you are going to be building them into your new home. You're not disturbing their peace - you are physically making them a part of your new home!!

Well after having hardly any snow, we have about 5 inches since 10 this morning. : I hope to get out in it this afternoon but for now I am contemplating what a budhist school would look like.

I spend time with several families, all of which would like to participate in a co-operative school but there is so much red tape for starting a charter school we have looked into opening a religious school. While there are several pagans in this group we thought a budhist school would fit well, so I need to begin researching.

There doesn't seem to be very many pagan parents locally and for our area it wouldn't make much sense to open a pagan school becuase it would be so costly to run with just a few parents but I think alot can be learned from budhist teachings so I would be happy with that. We plan to hold a brainstorming session in feb.

Wow, how cool! We only got maybe an inch here that melted pretty fast, but it sure was pretty while it was around. I think that brief periods of a little snow is the best. I like it when it's around long enough to play in, but not long enough to make travel a nightmare for a week, ya know?
ahhh, lake effect snow! Soft, wispy, flakey snow! It hasn't stopped yet!
It has been snowing here off and on now for over a week. We get 1-2 inches a day and it's very pretty because we're staying white and not "road grey." But I'm still ready for spring!! I need to ge tthe kids out in the fresh air for our hours long afternoon walks!! The belly bean needs exercise!!
I agree about being ready for spring. I really do try to enjoy each season as it is, but around Feb I start to feel twitchy for warmer weather and growth. The occasional clear blue sky days with birds chirping and the smell of sun warmed grass is not helping my longing either! LOL

I got my Imbolc altar up, but not quite finished yet. It's all white candles, green plants, and Goddessy.

It's an awesome place (both australia AND Steve irwins Zoo) We have been to Australia Zoo as we only live about an hour ish from there and its a really terrific trip. The animals have pretty happy lives there I'd think as their enclosures are enormous and they just roam about merrily. You can even pet kangaroos & Koala's etc. Love your idea for Moose too, sounds perfect to me!

That sounds so cool Karen, I'd love for my kids to attend a buddhist OR pagan school

Off to the shops to get supplies for tomorrow's insanity (5yo's birthday party
