Morgan Spurlock

I've been thinking, perhaps Morgan Spurlock (Supersize Me) would be interested in doing something on circumcision. After all, he did take a stand against McDonalds! And, his wife just had their baby boy at home, so I doubt they circ'd him ??

What do you all think? I've been searching high and low for an email address for him but all I can find is his blog.

Hmmm...

Mr. Spurlock does seem to be quite open-minded and unafraid to tackle touchy subjects, but I wonder how circumcision could be made to fit into his "30 Days" format?

If he is himself circumcised, I suppose he could spend 30 days restoring his foreskin...but that's a very iffy proposition and not many guys can see a noticeable difference in sensation in only 30 days. Also, no way in heck that episode would get past the censors.

How about spending a full 30 days researching all aspects of the issue, reading, traveling, talking to the public, expectant parents, circumcised and uncircumcised men, experts, witnessing circumcisions, etc, etc...essentially, going from the typical circumcised American male perspective to a truly informed stance? He could also spend those 30 days using something like the cone that protects the glans and helps restore some of the lost sensitivity.

ndunn--Back when SupersizeMe (the movie) was going to come out a friend of mine on a birthing list I am on was good friends with his girlfriend. We've not talked about it in a really long time. Don't know if they are still girlfriend/boyfriend or if they got married but my friend also knew him so I could ask her if she has his email address.

That would be really cool. I think they got married. I'm really interested to see what he would think. Maybe we could all try and work on a letter to him, as I'm not as eloquent as you all

On his show "30 Days," one of the subjects covered was abortion. A pro-choice women spent 30 days investigating the ideas, etc of the pro-life movement.

I think if they could cover that touchy subject, they could cover the circumcision debate. They didn't shy away from showing some pretty graphic photos, as I recall.

Morgan Spurlock just had a homebirth...and he had a boy!

Who knows? I bet he would do a show or something about it! That's a great idea!
