I finally was able to watch the P&T circ video. : Excellent but way more graphic than I was ready for at 9am. I had to cover my eyes and mute it whenever they were showing a circ...but wow, what a great tool for us intactivists!! I emailed it to my "on the fence" brother. I thought he was convinced but I guess he's not yet...hopefully this will do the trick.

Do you have a link? I've tried to watch it a couple of times but the link I had for it no longer works...

The whole program was just posted on youtube in the past few days. That's probably the easiest place to get it.

It's linked here someplace...in a recent post.

(realized I hadn't closed that tab yet )

WARNING: this video is NOT kid-friendly, both visuals and sound.

But do you know any teenagers???
Pass it along to the future parents of the world!

Yep, that really did it for dh, he is even planning to restore now thanks to Penn and Teller. Should I write them a thank you note? He is now making copies for all of his friends.

Thanks for that link-- I finally got to see the last 5-10 minutes! What a great into to the issue for those with that sense of humor...

I just saw it the other day.
I plan to recommend it as required viewing to many others.

I love how easy they've made it to post the video on MySpace, etc!

I hate Penn & Teller... but I love this episode

I was about to make a new post, but I did a search and found this one.

I finally got around to watching this video (I didn't know THAT was Penn & Teller lol), I wish I had watched it sooner!

I emailed it to my DH (he was pro-circ, I think he still is, but I am starting to work on him again) who is at work and board out of his mind. I hope be watches it and really starts to see my side.

I really wish he would consider restoring... but I think we are a LONG way off from that.

This is way more graphic than I was expecting. I don't think I have ever cried from saddness and laughed so much from one video.

Does anyone know what happened to the couple in the video??? Or were they just a pretend couple who already had their mind made up? I hope his pour foreskin was saved since their only argument was the locker room one. *gag*

Did that one couple have their child circed? I watched the video on You Tube...but it cut off right before they gave an answer!!!

No, no, that IS the end I finally got to see, . I think it's supposed to end abruptly like that, so you're left hanging and wondering and with the impression that the show has made on you... But I'd love it if someone online knew the inside scoop on the couple's decision!

I watched it and was impressed that they were exposing the idiocy of r.i.c. on Showtime. I think because the show is also funny, more people will watch it. Kudos to Penn and Teller. It makes me think they should do a segment about this on The Daily Show.

Loved that video... made my hubby open his eyes a bit.

I bought that season's DVD set for my partner. After watching it he advanced from "CIRC AND END OF STORY" to "we'll see what the AMA and AAP say when we have kids. If they say it's NECESSARY then we'll circ." He's a med student so the AMA is gospel. Thanks, P&T! (and you all for educating me!)

Wow. That was the first time I've ever seen how a circumcision is done. It makes me ache for those babies. Thanks for posting this.

I feel so priveleged to live in an area where it's definitely not routine, and that it was never an issue with my son, basically because my DH is also intact. My heart goes out to all the mothers who have to fight for their sons' integrity.

It's not really loading properly fo rme, so I can't hear or see all of it. Once it plays thru that way, then it'll play fine, but I don't know if I'll even fninish watching.

From what little I saw, I"m no longer on the fence as to what I'd do assuming it was covered by medical here, and able to be done locally.
Well, assuming I ever have another child.

So, you'd do it if it was covered and could be done locally

Angelcat, you should know that MDC is opposed to MGM (male genital mutilation), also known as RIC (routine infant circumcision). Please read the stickies on this forum before you make the decision to permanently alter someone else's genitals without any medical benefit.
