Thought I would throw my 2 cents in:

Sharon Anne is a lovely name.

My parents actually made Sharon-anne my whole first name, which would alleviate any issues with initials. Not that I had any, just a thought, if you've got names you love and want to use them, hyphenate them and make them one name.

Meghan (which I like a lot, but oh well)

Also, MIL's name is Margaret and we are considering that as a middle name -- shortens well to Meg or Maggie
I really like Sonia and Sasha for "S" names, and Selma and Salome
A names: Ann is the one that comes to mind and works well with pretty much everything.

OK....I didn't come up with much on my trip to the midwife but I think that is bacause i really love the sound of Sonia mae (may) especially now that I know it is your middle name. The 1 Sonya that I do know is a strong, intelligent & beautiful woman that I admire and respect greatly. Other middles I like with Sonya:

Sonia Alise (Elise) then you get SAS for initials...way cute
Sonya maeve (mostly b/c I love that Maive is the fairy queen)

Also....what is the grandmothers middle name? If for some reason you weren't sold on sonia you could maybe use her middle or maiden name.
