That's what my DH's Best friend says...It really pisses me off when I go over his house and have to go dumpster diving for recycling in his garbage can. It has really caused a riff between us...He sent me some of his "information" that supports his view but after doing a sourcewatch check on it all, every article's author had ties to the "non-recycling" industry. Basically, they all had something to gain by encouraging people to not recycle. Whereas, the groups that encourage recycling had nothing monetarily to gain...except a cleaner world..

Anyway, off topic, sorry, great little piece though!

A lot of people got that idea from the Bullsh!t episode about recycling. Basically their argument was "we've got plenty of landfill space left and you don't save any money!" While I do like some of their shows (especially the circ one!), some of them are obviously completely unresearched and ridiculous.
