How far are you along now? Today is my Due Date!!!!!!

How are you doing emtionally? um.... I'm ok, just ready to hold my baby

Physically? This pregnancy has been so much easier on my body than my first. So even my current discomforts aren't all that bad in comparison.

Are you tired of being pg yet?I'm definitely ready not to be pregnant anymore.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? I was just check a few hours ago and everything is still the same. Inbetween 1 and 1 1/2 cm and about 80% effaced

What are you doing to help things progress? I had my membranes stripped today but my midwife said if it'll work it would only take a couple hours. That was a couple hours ago and not much has happened :

Anything else you want to add? They've already got me scheduled for an u/s and stress test next Monday and then the following Friday. After that they said they would have to induce me if I don't have her with in 14 days of my due date. I'm trying not to think about it too much because I think if I do it will just keep things from happening. Here's to going into labor

January is finally here!!! Time for some updates....

How far are you along now? 37 1/2 wks

How are you doing emtionally? Tired I find this partof the pregnancy long...

Physically? This pregnancy has been so hard on my physically than the last... long list of complaints but I will spare you all!

Are you tired of being pg yet? Yes very, just as of this past week...

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Last week I was 1 cm but cervix still felt rather firm... I can't check my self I can't find my cervix.

What are you doing to help things progress? I plan on dtd everyother day until the baby comes even though sex is not enjoyable in the least. I am too uncomfortable.

Anything else you want to add? I am very anxious to have this baby... and I hate not knowing when it will come. I wasn't like this with ds b/c I assumed he wouldn't come early... now I expect the 2nd baby to come early and if s/he doesn't I will feel a little sad and disappointed. (Silly I know.)

How far are you along now? About 37 or 38 weeks, depending on which due date is used.

How are you doing emtionally? I feel happy that I'm having lots of pre-labor symptoms, very excited about meeting my baby.

Physically? I'm getting over a minor cold, my hip joints get sore easily, I alternately have the urge to walk for miles or go take a nap, lots of heartburn and gas, other than that I'm pretty much OK.

Are you tired of being pg yet? I'm ready to have this baby anytime, but I'm still happy to be pg.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? I don't know. I tried to check a few times, but my cervix is up so high that I can't find it! I'll probably have an exam at my next OB appt Thursday.

What are you doing to help things progress? EPO, sex, exercise, drinking prune juice, birth visualization exercises.

Anything else you want to add? I wish a happy, safe birth to everyone in our DDC. I've really appreciated having you all here during this pregnancy!

How far are you along now? 36 1/2 weeks

How are you doing emtionally? Much better than I was... for some reason I suddenly started being able to get some decent sleep (at least in comparison to what I was doing before) and that has helped so much.

Physically? I hurt. Baby is super-low and I feel like I'm sitting on her head, and she's pushing my whole pelvis apart and its very uncomfortable.

Are you tired of being pg yet? definitely.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Dunno. I tried to check but my cervix is hiding. lol I am guessing that baby is at zero or +1 station though, I can feel her head right there only half a finger or less in.

What are you doing to help things progress? Nothing yet. I am good to go for my homebirth at this point, but I want her to cook as long as she needs to. I suspect it wont be much longer though.

Anything else you want to add? I cant believe we are suddenly at this point. It snuck up on me, after all the madness of the holidays and our home reno in December. I am so ready to meet my baby girl!

37 weeks 6 days!!!

I am 37 weeks and 6 days along.

Emotionally, I am pretty relaxed and open. this is way different from DS birth, I was a basket case then!!

Physically, i have to tell people that I am due in two weeks because they think I am nowhere near big enough to be due. : Sadly, my looks do not relate to my comfort level. I feel large, sore and cannot fathom getting bigger...so yes, I am tired of being preggers, but I will miss it when it is over.:

I suspect that I am effaceing, but not dialated yet..but no checks so far. All I do to help is go for walks and have hots baths...gotta start that monkey sex.

It has been a pleasure geting to know all of you and sharing the trip. Happy Birth days!!

How far are you along now? 38 weeks 3 or 4 days

How are you doing emtionally? I'm a mess, moody one second, happy the next, burst into tears because I spilled milk. I have a lot going on besides being pregnant and the hormones aren't helping me deal with it. I'm getting really anxious to hold my baby, I think the smell of him and the feel of him will melt everything else away.

Physically? Exhausted, a bit sore and tired of the prelabor contractions.

Are you tired of being pg yet? getting there

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? I am 4cm and 60% effaced

What are you doing to help things progress? EPO, RRL, sex since dh and I have had to abstain most of this pregnancy.

Anything else you want to add? Its odd, I spent most of the pregnancy trying to keep this little one and avoid him being preterm, now that its safe for him to come out he doesn't seem to want to. What can I say he's my child and I would do the same . I'm grateful though that he will be full term and can hold on a while longer.

How far are you along now? A day shy of 38 weeks

How are you doing emtionally? pretty good, I suppose. Still trying to mentally prepare for the actuality of having a baby in the house!

Physically? You know, it has been tough all along. I have a cold, and can't sleep, and my hips hurt, I'm constipated and occasionally still nauseous, my hips are splitting apart, and I'm having tons of Braxton Hicks...it's not an easy ride. On the upside, baby has always been ready to head out the door, hanging out with head really really low.

Are you tired of being pg yet? Honestly, I was tired of being pregnant when morning sickness kicked in at 6 weeks. Yes, I'm tired of it, and the barrage of comments...

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Don't know. Midwives don't check.

What are you doing to help things progress? Resting, and trying to get over this cold. I want to have the energy for labor. Got the birth tub. Not anything else yet, the house is still too much of a wreck and my blessingway is on Saturday.

Anything else you want to add? I'm happy to see all these January babies coming into the fold, and it's really exciting to be part of this little community of mamas. I can't wait to see all the sweet little faces and hands!

How far are you along now? 36 weeks 3 days

How are you doing emtionally? Well

Physically? A lil cold and pain in my uterus, upper left side of my womb and back sometimes.

Are you tired of being pg yet? Yes....this baby is heavy.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Don't know. I ask my doctor tomorrow when I go in for a prenatal checkup.

What are you doing to help things progress? Resting, and trying to get over this cold. Trying to get house ready for the baby and walking.

Anything else you want to add? Hope he come soon and all you ladies have a good and smooth delivery. And those whom lucky to already have their lil ones "congrat".

How far are you along now? 38 weeks

How are you doing emtionally? Pretty good, but being tired makes me moody. Still haven't told the IL's that we are having a homebirth, so that is subconciously stressful. Also having an HBAC in a state where it isn't okay for midwives to attend, so I'm stressed about what I'm going to tell the OB and Ped when I show up with a baby. Hmmm...I think I need to just get over it and relax, so I can have the birth that is best for our family.

Physically? Lots of contractions, but nothing very strong or regular. Aching pelvis, heartburn, insomnia, the usual.

Are you tired of being pg yet? Actually, I'm doing okay. Anytime would be fine, but I'm not so uncomfortable that I'm just dying for it to be over.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? 3+ cm. and 50% effaced (a week ago). So excited that some of the work has already been done before the real thing kicks in!

What are you doing to help things progress? RRL tea, "5-W" herb supplement that includes RRL, Black & Blue Cohosh, and a few other things (DH calls it "Witches Brew"), sex

Anything else you want to add? I have loved being in this DDC. This part is so fun, as we watch the babies arrive day by day!!! Still hoping so hard for my HBAC. Easy labor vibes to all of you!

How far are you along now? 37 wks 4 days

How are you doing emtionally? OK. Been on the hormone roller coaster recently -- great mood one minute, biting everyone's head off the next.

Physically? Also OK. She keeps dropping into my pelvis & pinching a nerve and then popping back out which is kind of annoying. And I'm alternating between having plenty of energy & being so tired I can hardly keep my eyes open.

Are you tired of being pg yet? YES!

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? No idea. My midwives don't check until 40 wks. DH & I both felt my cervix the other night & it's definitly getting *very* squishy. Not really firm at all anymore, but I have no idea about the other stuff.

What are you doing to help things progress? Lots of walking & housework. I'm starting to pump. Regular intercourse. Trying to be better about taking my RRL & Pregnancy teas.

How far are you along now? 38 weeks tomorrow!

How are you doing emtionally? Most of the time, pretty good. Especially now that DH is back to work, the holidays are over and my last day of work is Friday. I was getting a little overwhelmed with people, commitments, etc.

Physically? Again, pretty good, most of the time. Although lately the baby has been SO low in my pelvis is constant pressure/pain. And my back has been bugging me when I give to the nesting urges and do a lot. I feel alot better than I did with DD, no swelling to speak of, which makes me very happy! A couple bouts of serious cx that turned into nothing...

Are you tired of being pg yet? Yes and no. I was desperate to be done a few weeks ago, but now a little freaked out that we will be having a baby soon!

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Don't know! My m/w's won't check until we get close to 42 weeks and have to start thinking induction. Although I would like to think that all those cx have been doing something!

What are you doing to help things progress? RRL tea and EPO. Staying active/on my feet.

Anything else you want to add? Just that I CANNOT believe that I could literally have a baby anytime now! DH and I were just saying that if all seemed much more real with DD. This time, we are just humming along, following our normal daily routines, and somehow ended up 38 weeks pregnant! I remember lurking in the other DDC's as their months rolled around and reading the baby updates and wondering how I would ever last until January. And here we are!

How far are you along now?
37.5wks

How are you doing emtionally?
Better than I have been, though I've still got preggo mood swings

Physically?
Hanging in there. My SPD, which had eased up considerably for a month or so, kicked back in full swing a few nights ago, so.... joy. I'm also suddenly exhausted all the time, like I'm back in the first trimester. I could sleep and sleep and sleep, if only my hips would let me. Other than that, I really do feel awesome for being 9 months pregnant.

Are you tired of being pg yet?
Yes and no. I am so excited to meet this baby, so ready to have the pg-related pain go away, and yet at the same time I am relishing the fact of having this baby in my body, of being pregnant, of being so close to the baby, and of the baby being so frickin' easy to take care of

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know?
I have no clue, and likely will not know until I'm in labor, and even then only if I ask. That being said, I believe my cervix is changing in some way, as last week I lost a ton of pluggy mucus and I've been experiencing that prickly-pain of cervical change.

What are you doing to help things progress?
Nothing yet. I want to make it through this coming weekend so I can enjoy my blessingways (2!!! of them this weekend). After that, we'll see. Likely I'll wait closer to 40wks to start actively doing anything to stir things up.

Anything else you want to add?
It's so hard to believe it's finally our time! Seems like only yesterday I found out I was pg and joined you ladies, and here we are with so many babies born in our ddc already. It's a magical thing. I'm so happy to have shared this pregnancy with you all, and look forward to sharing our journey into motherhood as our wee ones grow!

How far are you along now? 39 weeks, 1 day

How are you doing emtionally? No problems; I suppose I feel a bit guilty about how much work my husband's been doing around here.

Physically? Have reached the point where walking for more than a few minutes is really hard on my abdominal muscles, and I sometimes find getting up from sitting down painful. Feel like watching TV would be a nice way to spend my time, though that's not actually an option.

Are you tired of being pg yet? I'm not really "into" being pregnant at the best of times, so I wouldn't say I feel all that differently about it now than I did three months ago. I am definitely looking forward to wearing regular clothes again -- I've even packed jeans for the hospital.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Not as of my appointment last Thursday. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have any cervical changes until I'm in labor.

What are you doing to help things progress? Nothing; I trust my body to go into labor at the proper time, and wouldn't want to rush that along.

January is finally here!!! Time for some updates....

How far are you along now? 36 weeks 4 days

How are you doing emtionally? I'm an emotional mess. I'm feeling very insecure. I'm trying to figure out where the daddy stands. I've been nurturing my relationships, setting in place a support system for after the baby arrives. I'm dreading being sick, which is what I expect after giving birth, due to my health problems.

Physically? I'm feeling better than when I'm not pregnant. But, that's not saying much. My hips hurt. They've been spreading. I'm slightly anemic and have a low platelet count. I also recently developed PUPP, which is HIGHLY annoying. I've lost 4 lbs the past few weeks, leaving me at 15 lbs above my prepregnancy weight. I'm happy about that.

Are you tired of being pg yet? No, not really.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Nothing's going on there.

What are you doing to help things progress? Getting my daily shot of prostaglandin right on the cervix.

Anything else you want to add? I've got pretty much everything for the baby now. All I need to get is the SNS and I'm set. I'm going to see about that this morning.
How far are you along now? 37 weeks, 1 day

How are you doing emtionally? Wondering how I'll deal with newborn and DH. DH has such a demanding job and I don't think he'll be able to help that much with the baby. He can't change his work because he co-owns a company that is undergoing major changes right now.

Physically? This past week I've felt some harder contractions, lots of stretching, opening sensations. Poor baby is out of room.

Are you tired of being pg yet? It is such a special time that I can't imagine being tired of it. I'm tired of hearing horror stories from BTDT moms.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? I suspect although don't know for certain.

What are you doing to help things progress? Lots of walking, dreaming of the birth and our little girl, not letting any kind of stress weigh me down. I've been drinking lots of preggo tea and resting when needed.

Anything else you want to add? Best of luck to all of you during the next few weeks as you welcome your little babes into the world.

January is finally here!!! Time for some updates....

How far are you along now? 40 weeks today.

How are you doing emtionally? Usually okay. I'm concerned that the baby is still transverse/breech and wondering if he's really going to turn just before labor starts or during early labor.

Physically? Not too bad. Over the weekend I developed some hip/leg crampiness, but it's gone now, thanks to the chiropractor.

Are you tired of being pg yet? Yes.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? Dunno.

What are you doing to help things progress? With the amount of time I've been spending at the chiro/accupuncturist I may as well set up a cot. Also been spending lots of time on hands and knees, occasionally having sex, doing moxibustion, some swimming. I don't think there's anything I haven't done to try to move the baby. What I haven't been doing is trying to induce labor. I'd like him to move first.

Anything else you want to add? I think this baby must have red hair. My mom, MIL, and my sister are all redheads. No offense to any redheads here, but in MY family red hair is a sure sign of a difficult personality. And anyone staying in the wrong position for birth is being difficult in my book.
How far are you along now? 38 weeks and 5 days....8 days till EDD.

How are you doing emtionally? Doing well...generally feeling very calm. Some feelings of anticipation about birth but feel confident and open : )

Physically? Uncomfortably large...but my foot (which was really bothering me some weeks ago) is much better. I have been very nauseous with some stomach cramps the last 4 days. I thought maybe it was my body gearing up for labor but now think it was a touch of a flu that is going around.

Are you tired of being pg yet? Well...I'm uncomfortable...but willing to pregnant as long as the baby needs to be inside of me.

Are you dilated or effaced? Or do you know? I don't know. Had some egg whitey mucuous show last night, but no blood yet...maybe that's a little sign.

What are you doing to help things progress? Little walks, some squatting exercises, nursing my little boy (and that qualifies as nipple stimulation).

Anything else you want to add? I am baking baby's birthday cake as I type : )
It's going in the freezer as soon as it cools. I thought about doing it in early labor but had the thought that if things progress faster than I plan, we won't have a cake. I really want a hunk of chocolate cake after baby is born
