The real kicker here is that I can sleep during the day . . . but of course that's when my toddler is awake and raring to go. But as soon as his head hits the pillow, my energy level goes up and I can't get to sleep. Dh keeps finding me sitting on the couch reading, or down in the basement quilting, and asks what I'm doing (it now being midnight) when I'm so tired. But I seriously can't sleep -- its like my mind and body clicks into high gear at about 9 pm.
I have also taken to waking up in the middle of the night and sleeping on the couch, sitting up, for an hour or two when my heartburn gets too bad. But then my feet start to swell up and I have to wake up and go back to bed. Then I finally get to sleep and my son decides to get up for the day at 5:30 or 6. Crazy.
But I figure I won't be sleeping much once the baby comes, either, so I might as well just suck it up and get used to it.
