Hehe.... Yesterday I woke up at 3:30 a.m., but was able to get back to sleep after wandering around the apt. and eating a bowl of cereal.

This morning I woke up at 3:30 a.m. AND COULDN'T GET BACK TO SLEEP!!!! Sorry for shouting, but I have to go to work today and am stressed out about what it's going to be like on very little sleep, worried I'll fall asleep on the train and miss my stop, etc. *sigh*

So.....I hear ya!!

I hope we both sleep better tomorrow!

I have been there with you just about every night including this one. :

I was up at 2:30 and couldn't get back to sleep until after 4. I don't have a day job other than my toddler. I couldn't imagine making a commute in today!

I feel your pain! Between the 4 - 5 bathroom breaks, restless leg and the damn heartburn I am so tired I dont know what to do with myself.

Last night I tried to sleep standing up

I COULD sleep but between having to get up so many times to pee and DH snoring it doesn't seem to be happening much

My 2 year old woke me up at 3 this morning and I got back to sleep somewhere between 7:30 and 8... the idea that insomnia in late pregnancy gets you ready for being woken up all night by your baby is a load of crap... all it's doing is making me think that A. my brain is trying to kill me and B. I hate taking care of my toddler! (I love my son but man!! I can't hardly keep up on a GOOD night's sleep!)

The real kicker here is that I can sleep during the day . . . but of course that's when my toddler is awake and raring to go. But as soon as his head hits the pillow, my energy level goes up and I can't get to sleep. Dh keeps finding me sitting on the couch reading, or down in the basement quilting, and asks what I'm doing (it now being midnight) when I'm so tired. But I seriously can't sleep -- its like my mind and body clicks into high gear at about 9 pm.

I have also taken to waking up in the middle of the night and sleeping on the couch, sitting up, for an hour or two when my heartburn gets too bad. But then my feet start to swell up and I have to wake up and go back to bed. Then I finally get to sleep and my son decides to get up for the day at 5:30 or 6. Crazy.

But I figure I won't be sleeping much once the baby comes, either, so I might as well just suck it up and get used to it.
