New CSI this Thurs

If you haven't seen the commercials yet this is the CSI show where Grissom leaves.

The commercials seem to show that it's alot more than him just going away to teach or whatever was in that letter.

i am so sad about it

i an kinda hopeing that he doesn't really leave -- maaaaaayeb it is someone else..........(I'd get rid of katheryn in a sec -- don't like her).................cuz you know...how when it looks too much likeTHIS IS HOW IT IS...then usally it is some differnt -- like they set you up to think one thing, and switch it at the end.................KWIM...........hopeing

(but i am sure i am wrong)

Yes he is leaving. If I hadn't already known that you can definitly tell in the commercials.

It is temporary. I don't know how long but he's going off to do some other project(s). A movie I think.

It will definitly not be the same without him.

William Petersen is acting in a play in Rhode Island right now. That's why his character is being written out for awhile.

He is coming back, though.

During last week's show, as Grissom was leaving, he stopped by the lockers and Sara was standing there. I was putting away clothes and bent down just as he said something to her..... anyone know what he said? Sounded like 'I'll miss you.' or something along that line...

I actually hated the way the commercials were so manipulative about making it look like he was really leaving, and it turned out it's such a short, temporary thing. I'm so glad he's not leaving the show, but I didn't keep track of the news beforehand (hadn't seen CSI in awhile either) and feel kinda cheated if that makes sense.

The actor has been unhappy with CSI for a while -- some because they overpromote the abysmal CSI Miami, some because he prefers producing, etc. I wonder if it is a preview to ease him out. He may come back for random episodes or come back a short time and then leave again.
good episode, though.

He has to come back soon. I was watching part of "The People's Choice Awards" and when they played a clip of CSI it was Grissom talking about what was in the package at the end of last weeks episoid. A little room like the one in the episoid that Danny Bonaduce was in. Where the killer made a replaca of the crime sceen. So he will be back and soon. (I hope!)

About the play he is in...

Isn't there also some Who Is Keppler? promo thing going on too? Is he taking over Grissom's position? I remember seeing a dot com during last weeks show.....

Dangit! I missed this whole thing two weeks ago, and tonight I finally got to watch and I was so bummed!! Are you guys sure he's coming back? Please? First Bobby, now Gil... if Jason leaves I will have no men at all...

does anybody else think Liev's character (restless babe means I still haven't got his name) is kinda shifty? I almost think he's a serial killer in disguise.

yes I do. I thought the name "Keppler" was part of the little room boxes that were being left behind, that he was one of the suspects. I think that actor tends to play more evil roles. IMO though, he looks too much like Gary Sinise(Sp) from CSI NY to be on the original.

It seemed obvious to me that the package when Gris left was one of those boxes. Gil is gone for a month to teach or whatever it was, would he really NOT have his mail forwarded? IT seems very unrealistic to me that the package would sit there waiting until he got back. He's going to swoop back in and solve it with a crime that's 4 weeks old.

He *will* come back. I don't know if it will be for a visit or for good but I saw a preview (at the Golden Globes" show) that he was in.


I also wondered if Keppler is a killer. But I think that is just because I have seen that actor play a LOT of bad guys, lol.
