oh no! I've become "that" mom!

You know the one that licks her finger to pat down her daughter's hair. Oh yeah, I caught myself today trying to "tame" my daughter's new spiky hair-do that is growing.

The other thing I swore up and down I would "never" do to my kids is to pat their head (it used to drive me nuts when my mom would pat mine). And I found myself patting my husband's head last night.

What things do you find yourself doing that you swore you never would when it comes to motherhood?

I've caught myself twice licking my finger to clean off DS face...I hated when my mom did that!

eew- i kwym.... i remember always jerking awy when my mother would lick her fingers to clean my face... Of course, i am the now the newest memebr of that little 'i must use saliva to clean my childrens facec' club... i guess its true that we all become our parents in one sense or another...

you know that annoying thing your aunts or grandmas would do when they came to visit - pinching your little cheeks and shaking them til they hurt?

I did that to my ten year old not so long ago. Just out of sheer habit.
