Demar Augustus was born January 1, 2007 at 5:37 a.m. He weighed 9 lbs., 11 oz., was 22 1/4 inches long, and is perfectly beautiful. My labor was long and slow and stalled out a few times, I'm so thankful for my wonderful midwife, and so thankful little Gus is here, doing great. He's a nursing machine, by far my best nurser yet.

Yeah, I was expecting a big one. My last was 9.1, and at almost 20 months weighs 34 lbs.

He was 35 minutes short of being the first baby of the new year born in Reno. Too bad, it would have been cool to have that be a home birth!

Whoa! Can you still carry him? My dd is a little less than 30 lbs at 2.5 years.
