I could really use some advice!!! Pretty please?

I had my daughter in 2001. She was on a fairly normal basic vax schedule. Then I started reading about vax issues and stopped at her second mmr. So, she hasn't had the second mmr vax. We moved to WV, a state with NO medical or philisophical exemptions. They require DTaP, measle, rubella and polio. I would prefer to only do the measles and rubella rather than the mmr vax. They are requiring her to get these as a booster shot as all of her vaxes were before the age of 4.

So:

I want to break these up. I need advice on the best way to give these vaccinations. Also, dd has had a lymph node infection requiring 10 days of antibiotics and had a double ear infection she is just recovering from. This has all happened in the past 45 days.

Those are the only requirements for school entry?

Yes. She was vaxed on schedule until it came to her second MMR and I started hearing about the risks of the mmr. So, I stopped vaccinating her at that point. We thought we would be okay coming to wv because other than the mmr, she has had the required number of doses of those six vaccines, but we didn't figure out the "last dose must be after the age of 4" bullsh*t. She has had other vaxes such as hib. I have not given any vaccines to my 18 month old.

The doctor's office said they would break them up. They said they do not carry seperate rubella and measles vaccine just the mmr, but they would call the health dept and see if they had any of the individual vax's. Just trying to do this the best way possible, my ideal would be not to vax further.

There are no states without ANY exemptions as far as I know. You can always get some type of exemption.

WV and Mississippi only have medical exemptions. Medical exemptions can only be for individual vaccines and have to be pretty seriously documented in most cases and in some cases can be overruled by an "official" dr.

Yep, WV and Mississippi. I also cannot forge vax documents. We have also looked into private schools, montessori schools, homeschooling etc and those really aren't options. We have been working on this for the past 3 months and we are really down to needing to vax for these 6 or 7 if we do the mmr and I am just wondering if there is a better way to do it, or if just really doesn't matter. I was thinking of starting with polio, then doing DTaP, and then doing the MMR I guess because we can't seem to find just measles and rubella (tho, just MMR, they were trying to get me to do an mmr/varicella).

hows it going?

read stephanie cave's book, what your doctor may not tell you about childhood vaccinations or something.

do you have to have these before starting school or just be in the process of giving them?

i would start with polio. then dtap. then mmr. spread them out by a month or so at least. if you have to do two on the same day, dont combine dtap and mmr b/c they are the most likely to cause a reaction.

sounds like she handled her previous shots well? not a guarantee, but definately a good thing.

If you look at the vaccine schedule, this will not be the end. There will be required vaccines for your child through highschool. I don't know if it's possible for you, but if it were me, I'd move again, esp. before my toddler had to enter school.
