Did you know the following about the Bush Adminstration (BA):
1. The BA is spending millions of dollars to increase IRS enforcement on low income workers and single mothers while relaxing enforcement for wealthy individuals and corporations?
2. Bush's proposed tax cut plan would provide an average annual tax cut of four hundred thousand dollars to the top executives of Fortune 100 companies and an average annual tax cut of 29 dollars for Americans earning less than seventy-five thousand dollars a year?
3. The BA budget creates the biggest deficit in history, exceeding 500 BILLION dollars a year. (Tell me again why people think the Republicans are better with money?)
4. The BA has cut federal funding for Medicaid, so states have had to scale back or eliminate health coverage for low income children and the elderly. (Compassionate conservatism and what not, ya know.)
5. The BA budget protects the tax loophole that allows US companies to move their headquarters off shore to avoid paying any US taxes, but allows these companies to still receive huge defense contracts. (And the Dixie Chicks are traitors???)
6. The BA budget cuts 14.6 billion dollars in veterans' programs--including money for disabilities caused by war wounds, rehabilitation, healthcare, pensions, education-even burial benefits. (Color me shocked and awed by that one.)
7. In 2004-the BA budget gives more than 35 billion dollars in tax cuts to those earning more than 375,000 a year-but at the same time cuts education funding by 9 billion dollars.
8. Yet another way the BA is going to pay for it's tax cut for the rich-slashing 92 billion dollars from Medicaid, 13 billion from food stamps, 6 billion from school lunches, and billions more from foster care, adoption assistance, and child support enforcement. (family values)
9. The BA has weakened the Clean Air Act-exempting their oil and gas industry friends from pollution laws, and shifted the cost of cleaning up toxic waste sites from the polluters to the tax payer.
10. The BA has done nothing to address sky rocketing health care costs or the millions of uninsured children and andults in the US-but HAS , through their tax policies, rewarded companies that shift health care costs from employers to employees.
The record speaks for itself.
