How much would you pay?

How much would you pay a neighborhood boy or a pair of brothers to shovel the snow out of your driveway? Here are the specifics - the snow starts one car length from the garage and goes to the road and it is the width of a two car garage door. The snow is about knee deep. (It was originally chest high, check out my snow pic in my sig!)

Generally we shovel our own snow but neither of us have had the chance and I am tired of it being there. I'd like to ask my neighbors if one of their boys or both wants to do it but I have no idea how much money to offer them. Any suggestions?

TIA,
SJ

Knee deep? I'd pay them a LOT.

If it were only a couple of inches, I'd go with $10, but knee deep is a lot of hard work.

when in doubt go with minimum wage. Keep an eye on them and if they're working really hard bump it up a dollar and just pay by the hour.

wow, thats alot..... i like the by the hour idea if it looks like its gonna take forever, but depending on the age of the kids, how long it takes, and how many kid sare doing it, id probably offer $30 to one kid, or $20 each if its 2

and invite them in for hot cocoa and cookies or something when theyre done, or halfway through for a break to warm them up
