What do to with about 5 dozen ties?!

I have so many mens tie around here, and not a clue what to do with them.

Anyone have any cool ideas? I'm not very craft, so I don't even know where to start. Please help me out.

There's a lady on http://etsy.com that makes purses out of ties. Now, I don't know if you know how to sew or not....but you may want ot head over there and see what she has. I thought they were cute, but I wouldn't own a tie purse myself... Otherwise, maybe put in a search for tie crafts?

We used ties to make snakes at Bible School one year. Sew up one end, fill them with beans or rice, hot glue on eyes, tounge, etc. and sew the other end shut. Not exactly useful, but the kids loved them. Maybe if you don't come up with something useful you could donate them to a preschool or daycare that could use them to make something.

My grandmother made a Christmas tree skirt out of her husband's old ties.

You could make pillows, quilts -- all sorts of neat stuff!

Nuts - I can't find it. I made an A-line skirt with pointed panels cut from old blue-jeans, then I sewed the skinny ends of the ties over each seam. It turned out really cool!

That is very cool, I love how they got more length by using the narrow part of the ties. 5 dozen ties would make a pretty good sized skirt--or like 3 for a child.
