are you kidding? it's the bomb-diggity!
i made a lot of home made ice cream and sorbets. most of them are very low sugar or sugar free! i tend to use raw honey instead of sugar anyway.
can i tell you how awesome my butter-pecan ice cream is? here's the recipe:
get some whole cream and whole milk and soak a vanilla bean in it (split open) overnite, yo.
get you some pecans and melt up some raw butter, hellz yeah!
grab some honey. toss a bit of honey with the melted butter and pecans--sweet! let it sit in a sunny window to get it to 'carmelize' or 'crisp up' a bit.
remove the bean from the milk and cream, add honey if you want, and then just put that bad boy in the machine!
once it starts to set a bit, add those pecans in!
let it set in the freezer for the by-and-by.
and serve that good stuff, mother!
