Now that I have some African Black soap

how should I use it? Supposedly its raw.
I just bought a pound of it. It is way more crumbly than I thought it would be.
I thought I could melt some of it down for a liquid soap, like for hands in the bathroom. How can I go about doing that, soap experts?

Also does anyone else have any ideas for it? I was just going to put a chunk of it in the shower for hair and body.

thanks!

Don't put it in the shower! It will melt really fast. It is actually great as a body cleanser/shampoo, you just need to store it on a slatted soap dish on the counter when not in use.

Once it gets wet it will clump up together. I would suggest breaking off a chunk and using just a small piece at a time.

I agree with the PP. I'm very mindful to just spin it around a couple of times in my hand (since it is so lathery) to keep it around as long as possible. It would disappear if I kept it in my shower.
