diaper bag patterns??

Has anyone here made a diper bag?I told family members if they wanted to get me a diaper bag,dont get the pastel-flowery-teddy bear ones,get the nice black one that looks like a messanger.So what happens? I get the smallest diaper bag ever and its all bling-blinging the pastel teddy bear....anyways,I kinda just want to make a patchwork one and was wondering if there is a certian pattern others have tried,or should I just wing it? Any tips etc??

I used a Kwik Sew pattern and hemp/cotton corderoy and batik (more)

Kwik Sew #2997.

I used natural colored hemp/cotton corderoy for the outside and batik for the inside with 2 different batiks for the overlay to create a patchwork look - it was very easy!
