Ugh... Sister's in labor

Ok, so I'm THRILLED that my sister is finally (according to her ) having her baby. BUT I am just dreading the fact it may be a boy. :

About a week or so ago, after not being able to come up with a good way to talk about not circing w/out causing a fight, I gave her info on it. A pamphlet, the 3x5 card, a nocirc.org card, and the article that I absolutely COULD NOT read or look at w/the baby on the front.

She has not said anything about it since and neither have I. At this point I'm not sure I even want to know if she circ's him if it's a boy. I know it's not my baby and DH says I overeact and take things too personally, but I just can't stand the thought of it happening to that sweet little baby! Even though he's just my nephew!

At this point I am : it's a boy. Is that awful of me?????

Ya I'm praying for the same thing for my SIL. Honestly, if they circ their boy, I don't think I'll be able to ever speak to her again. She knows all the facts. The only reason why she would do it is to please her boyfriend, who is a complete knob might I add.

One word of advice: As curious as you may be whether she circ'ed him, don't try to sneak a peek until you're sure it's healed. Like when he's at least a month old. You're not going to want to see it right after, it'll break your heart.

I'm sorry, I understand. In my case, sil IS having a boy (says the ultrasound anyway, (they can be wrong right???)). She is also a nurse. I almost cant stand to think about it. I'm certain they will circ and there is not much I can do about it. She knows my ds is intact.

I started feeling this way too. I don't want to be a b*!@# but I can't help it!

bandgeek- I know if she does it I won't be there to look at that little boy. NOT to mention his genitals! I COULD NOT HANDLE THAT! I'm sure its just a mess.

I'm just a wreck... I have to get some sleep!

Congrats! Now that means you have more time to convince her not to circ if she does ever have a boy...don't wait until she's pregnant again! (But give her some time to enjoy her baby girl first! )
