advice for homebirth with IBS/ulcerative colitis?

I've heard that hands and knees position for birth will lesson the pressure on my colon/rectem. I'm seeing a chiropractor and drinking lots of cabbage juice. I've been having some rectal bleeding which makes me anemic. Any advice? First pregnancy and I'm due in February. I hope I can have a home birth--shouldn't be a problem if I keep my anemia in check and do everything I can to get rid of the bleeding. I love being pregnant and feel great!!

lots of fiber - and I'd add Floradex or liquid chlorophyll.

We had a mom with uc and had a tendency to be anemic. She birthed on all fours, she didnt want to feel the pressure on her hind end. We just put compresses anywere she asked and get her good all round support in that area. She did fine and she had a good exsperence. As to postitions that would be best, I would go for what she feels best doing.

no gluten for 45 days that is the challange length of time many people with gluten intolerance are not detected - I even know a dr's son who is becoming a doctor himself-he has had a resection of his bowel because of the dx ulcerative colitis- he even had extended family with known gluten intolerance - he was never checked for it and is still having problems- the other thing that is overlooked is probiotics- fermented foods for colonization but I may very well be thinking supplements for this because of the complexity of adding live culture yogurt...
sublingual b vitamin supplements because the intestinal problems have disrupted flora and transit time so intrinsic factor is very low it there is any intrinsic factor at all.
avoid antibiotics or other things that will mess up flora. I second the recommendations on floridex and liquid chlorophyll. I love the cabbage idea but mix it up a bit with some carrots, apples or other things for flavor you will see what I mean after a time- Mallow as a family are soothers and that includes hybiscus, the cheese weed that is a yard/garden weed holly hocks and marshmallow and okra-it is the slipperyness that gel they make is soothing and healing reduces swelling - while juicing you could add a bit of marshmallow powder to the concoction or a bit of hybiscus or some of your green garden weed. ( people from other countries eat that common mallow all the time or dry it and add it to soups and other foods).
If you had just simple IBS I would say try the enteric coated peppermint oil caps but with uc as well hard to say may be too strong.
the other soother/healer is licorice- and there are chewable tablets labeled DGL - De-Glycyrrhizinated Licorice - which makes them safe for anyone it will not raise blood pressure because the glycyrrhizin is removed. but they still have the useful properties of increased blood flow to the area, helps promote new growth of healthy mucosa, also has those mucopolysacrides as a soother-DH uses the Nature's life brand.
consider a water birth
as for position you will be able to find a position to give birth in without having to sit on your bottom- even if what you need to do is sit because a toilet is one place you can accomplish that ,standing, kneeling, squatting, hands and knees, lunging, side lying, even McRoberts if that is where you feel most comfortable
