Painted covers

Someone suggested I ask this here in crafts....

How do you paint PUL? I've seen some painted diaper covers and I'd like to give it a try but I don't know what kind of paint to use. The ones I've seen are advertised as being able to wash them like regular diaper laundry- hot wash/hot dryer.

I'm not very familiar with PUL, but what about regular fabric paint?

Screen printing ink is also washable and you'd be able to paint with it too - particularly on a smoothish surface (you do have to iron it first though).

I've used Tulip Soft fabric paint and it holds up really good, just make sure you wash your PUL before you paint it.
I experimented on my scraps first and let them dry 72 hours and then washed them on a tiny load to see if they bleed and they didn't!
You can also do a faux tye dye too.

Julie
