I just started this book yesterday. There is sooo much in it.

You know what this book is doing for me right now? It's helping me to *remember* that I used to be able to manifest when I was a child.

Last night while reading the book, I just kept getting memory after memory of how I *knew* some of this stuff. Sad how it's so easy to forget.

I could give you examples of what I remembered but now I forget.

You know what feels really good?

Putting the Secret movie on and kind of half watching it while reading about the "Rampage of Appreciation" Technique in AAIIG.

So I'm into the second half now and it's true, they're like two different books. I'm loving it. The second half flows so much more easily to me, the language, the intention....

I read it last summer and loved it. I think it's the first book I've read where I truly did some of the exercises ("processes" as they're called in the book).

Last night I was wishing there was and LoA forum here (I know, it's being manifested as I type ) because I'd love to have individual threads based on some of the processes, where we could do the exercises in the thread or share our experiences with them.

I started to do the Prosperity Game (process #5) last summer. One of the things I "bought" was a trip to Disney World. We'd been wanting to take our son there, but it wasn't exactly "in the budget." Well, we ended up going in September, with about a month notice.

I also played some games with myself regarding Chapter 21 (You are only 17 seconds away from 68 seconds to fulfillment) - with some pretty cool results.

melanie - i have the ask and it is given cards. next time we get together, i'll bring them along so you can have a look. i wouldn't say they are a must have item if you already get the daily quotes in your email, but i still really like them.

i have read ask and it is given and i have read the 2 abraham-hicks books that follow it: "the amazing power of deliberate intent" and "the law of attraction". all three are excellent books. when i first read "ask and it is given", i did have a hard time with the language. not sure how to explain it, but i was finding that i was reading a paragraph over 10 times to try and 'get it'. i decided to just stop labouring over it and to just read it see what i got out of it. it worked and now i go back to the book from time to time and wonder why i was having such a hard time with it.

I feel that way too when I read their stuff. I don't think they are the best writers, but I try to focus on the message.

My absolute favorite by them right now is A New Beginning II, A Personal Handbook to Enhance Your LIfe, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.

I highly recommend it!
