I have been thinking that I'd like to make a little video for youtube which shows my method of knitting back and forth without turning the work. There are several ways to do this and I just thought it would be interesting because it comes in VERY handy for things like short rows- knitted borders and textured patterns and lace which are difficult to track on the purl side.
But first I thought I should check youtube and see what videos already exist of that sort (I couldn't find one)
Watching the videos though, I noticed and was impressed with what pretty manicures all the knitters had and became very aware of how awfully grubby my own hands look because of all the farm work I do... hmmm... maybe I'll rethink making a vid...
and then I came across this video with a manicure to beat all. Oh my- this is some serious business! All I can say is that I know she can knit- but there is NO WAY that she can groom a horse or shear a goat!

I think it's really neat that she has shared her technique. I'm sure she gets asked about it all the time.

I modify all my patterns in my head to get them so I don't have to turn my work.
