Anyone have a cork floor? I'm considering replacing the linoleum in my kitchen with cork.

I was wondering how you like it, and how easy it is to clean.

We have cork flooring in our dining room. Ours was installed just like laminate snap/lock. It cleans just like laminate. I use vinegar/water and it doesn't streak. It is noticeably quiet to walk on and looks cool! It also muffles the sound in the room some.

Ours did fade in the sun (we had a throw rug and bright light shining in the window and you can see a noticeable difference.

That's good to know. Have you had any problems with stains or water spills?

We have it in our bathroom. We had to use the glue down tiles because the click lock engineered layers can not take moisture. We installed it... and got better at it over time. The glue is slippery. I love the way the cork feels. It has a nice cushion which is good for my sore back and it feels warm in the winter when our wood floors feel cold.

We have some incredibly $ cork flooring waiting to be installed in our bedroom. The store recommended using a microfiber towel on a swiffer for cleaning. It looks great and easy to install--snap into place.

COnsider Marmoleum as well. We did the kids room and plant room w/it and LOVE it. A bit more sturdy.

Does anyone know where I can find cork flooring? Most of our house is hardwood, but we currently have just subfloor in our kitchen because I can't seem to decide what to put in there : I really like the idea of cork floors! In our kitchen we have a bold color on the walls and granite tile countertops that are kind of a "busy" look, so I am really thinking something without lots of patterning would look best. Anyone know how it would handle a busy kitchen? Cost??

Sorry for jumping on your thread OP, I am really curious about cork floors too.

This is what we're planning to put in the downstairs, including the kitchen. http://www.ecofriendlyflooring.com/cork_gallery.html It says it runs between $2.75 and $6 per square foot.
