I have no idea!
My lochia stopped pretty early after Xan and I've been blood free for months now. Then I started feeling bloated, emotional and crampy and then woke up one morning to a bunch of blood in my undies.
I put my diva cup in and went about my day, still crampy like a period. But at the end of the day I took the cup out and it had maybe like 1/4 teaspoon of old blood/mucous in it... but under the cup was 'fresh' blood, not a lot though. I just took the cup out so I could monitor it, obviously it wasn't much. I've had this bizarre light spotting and slight cramps for about three days now.
I (normally) have endometriosis and my periods are nothing to sneeze at. I'm like a waterfall of blood, it's really quite horrific. So I have no idea what to make of this. Is this a period?
It took a year for my period to come back after my daughter was born (she nursed every 45 minutes around the clock).
I got pregnant before my period came back with my second (she was only nursing 1-2 times a day for 10 seconds... so essentially like not breastfeeidng at all).
Xan sleeps long stretches at night, sometimes as long as four hours! That's SUPER long for me and I know that night-nursing is the #1 key in fertility return... so does this sound like a period, and if not, wtf?
