My contractions are about 4 minutes apart and strong enough for me to have to concentrate and breathe through now. Starting at 2 p.m. yesterday, until 4 a.m. they were 8 min. apart and not strong enough to stop me from walking or talking. They have really kicked in now. Calling the midwife and I will keep you all posted if I can.

Please send good thoughts and prayers my way for a healthy baby, a successful home VBAC, and an easy labor. Thanks!

Well, I was right! Easton Jones was born at 9:56 a.m. on Sat. morning, 1/6/07. I had a 6 hour labor, which was a huge surprise after the 36 hour labor I had with DS1.

AND, I got my VBAC!!!!! It's still sinking in, and it's wonderful. I did, however, have to transport to the hospital during the pushing stage because the baby's heartrate dropped into the 60s. But I succeeded in having a drug-free VBAC, and I am over the moon about it. I will write a longer birth story soon.

Thanks to all of you for all of your thoughts and prayers. I love being in this DDC!
