Do natural/organic tampons work as well? Recommedations?

Im tired of my dd's using tampons almost exclusively....the chemicals, ect...

So, I'm going to try to buy organic ones each month. Do they work as well as Playtex, ect?? One of my dd's has a pretty heavy flow but refuses to use pads, let alone, cloth pads....too hard to do at school she says. Just uses a very thin pad with the tampons.

Yep, they work just as well! Having switched from conventional to organic,myself... nothing earth-shattering...
switching from organic tampons to a menstrual cup... now THAT was something!! Much more cost effective, convenient, green & COMFORTABLE!

I used a sea sponge for awhile and I wouldn't recommend it, but organic tampons work just as well IMO.

Thanks ladies, with 5 girls and myself, I think we need to take out a stock share in some organic tampon company!! Phew...gets mighty costly!

If you're not interested in trying the menstrual cup, you could at least save some $ by ordering your tampons through a frontier co-op through MDC.
