"My Father's Glory" and "My Mother's Castle"

Insanely good, restful, charming French movies set in Provence (read:BEAUTIFUL!!!) that I highly recommend for anyone who has had enough of the CSI, Law&Order type shows or any of the other crap on tv that basically likes to glorify humanity at it's worst. (Yes I watch them too sometimes, I'm just sad that it's the only thing on anymore.)

Put these in your Netflix queue and the next time the weather's awful or you're not feeling well (or is in town) sit back and enjoy! These are the kind of movies where nothing bad happens, and you know nothing bad is gonna happen.

The books themselves are on my list of all-time top ten favorite books. I'll look out for the film version, I'm interested to see it.

Did we watch the same "La Gloire de Mon Père"/"Le Château de Ma Mère" because I remember something very bad/sad, made worse by the fact that I didn't see it coming.
